Chapter 16 - Gratitude

3rd Person

Talia and Tenzin disappeared/ ran off to go and find their father, Aang. Talia was searching the island for him, flickering from place to place. She found him eventually outside talking with on of the council-men.

Talia Jumped/ flashed back to Tenzin. "If we want to show him it'll - Yawn- have to be soon" Talia's energy was slowly depleting, "he's outside the front entrance talking to the council-man from the Southern water tribe." Tenzin nodded and ran in that direction.

"Dad! Dad!" Tenzin shouted as he ran outside.

"Yes Tenzin?" Aang replied slightly agitated.

"You have to see what Talia can do!" Tenzin said joyfully.

"Hey Dad!" Talia said cheerfully as she flickered in spirit form in front of Aang. Aang and the council-man jumped back in shock and surprise.

"T-Talia?" Aang asked hesitant "W-what?" Shock evident in his voice. Talia nodded.

"I projected my spirit into the physical world, rather than the spirit worl - yawn"

"wow- that's - wow" Aang sai lost for words. "But you seem tired come back - umm- in your, -ummm- physical form and take a break" Aang told her not quite sure how to word it.

"yawn- ok" then she disappeared in a flicker. Talia returned to her body and walked out of the orchard to be met by Tenzin as she was rubbing her eyes and yawned.

"come on" Tenzin said putting his arms around her shoulders to support her. Talia shrigged him off, as she yawned again. This time not resisting as Tenzin supported her, he took her to the kitchen and got a few sugary sweets, and a snack high in energy as a 'Pick-me-up' to give her some energy to keep her up. Talia nodded her thanks as she made her way upstairs to her bedroom.

Half-way there she met Kya she lazily waved and continued only to be stopped by Kya's spiteful voice. "Bet you loved that!" Kya spat "making daddy all speechless, because your absolutely amazing" Talia could hear the sarcasm over the last statement, and the 'baby voice' put on for 'daddy', as Kya stayed facing the opposite way. At this point Talia was looking confused at Kya's back. Kya continued walking, she huffed and muttered "daddy girl" as she walked around the corner not sparing a glance at her 12-year-old sister.
Talia continued to walk upstairs to her room where she was hopefully, key word hopefully not going to dwell on Kya's attitude.
