Chapter 7 - The Roof

Talia's POV

"Talia?" It was dads voice through the door. I can't tell him. "Talia? Can I come in"
"Sure"
I heard dad sigh as he slowly opened the door, I was in my bed drawing when he came in.
"Talia? What happened?" He asked bluntly but gently and caring.
"Nothing" I said just barley audible.
"I know it you lying, it wasn't nothing, what happened" he asked sweetly and gently.
"Some guys dropped me in mud" I say almost not audible. I turned my head away and look down.
"Do you know why?" I froze I couldn't tell dad!! I relaxed and neither shine my head or nodded, dad sighed and got up and slowly left the room. I flopped back down on my bed.

Aang 's POV

When I left the room, I sighed, she was hiding something and I could tell she didn't want to say anything.

"Did she say anything" it was Katara's sweet voice.
"At first she said nothing then she did say that she was dropped in mud by some guys"
"Did she say why?"
"No. She froze, I think she knows why and just doesn't want to tell us"
"We'll just have to give her time"
"Yeah time" I mumbled under my breath.

That evening

Talia's POV

I couldn't sleep so I snuck out the window and went up to the roof, I sat there for awhile till I heard foot prints. I looked up to see Bumi and Tenzin.
"Hey" Bumi said kind of awkwardly trying to start a conversation.
"I'm guessing Kya told you" he just nodded and I looked down.
"Yeah, hey what actually happened"
"I was dropped in mud"
"By who?"
"Some guys at school"
"Did you talk to mum and dad about it" Tenzin asked for the first time saying something.
I looked down and shook my head.
"Why not?"
"Because I can't" I said sniffling as I shook it was sold and windy.
"What should i do?" I mumbled.
"Yeah only thing I would suggest is that you tell them the truth and the whole story" Me and Tenzin both looked up at Bumi. "Yeah yeah I know not like me, but hey your my younger sister,..well one of them" we both laughed a little. "And I care for you, even if it doesn't seem like it I do" he came over and gave me a hug which I gladly returned. "Now I'm off to bed I'm tired" and he left.

"You know, you should try and get some sleep" Tenzin said before he to stood up after giving me a hug.
"Yeah in a bit" I sighed as he left.
I leant back and look at the stars, after a while i had fallen asleep on the roof.

The next morning:

Katara's POV

"Breakfast!!" I shouted down the corridor with the rooms down it, all the doors opened and sleepy people walked down. All except one, Talia. I went down stairs to see if she was already there, but she wasn't, Tenzin kept glancing at her spot then the door it was subtle.
I decided to break the silence and ask what was on everyone's mind. "Does anyone know where Talia is?" They all shrugged,
"I'll go check her room" Aang said as he got up.

After a short time about a minute he came back, he had a slight worried expression on her face. "She's not in her room"
"Ok once were done we'll all check outside" I suggested, everyone looked up and Bumi and Tenzin shared a brief glance.
Once we finished we went outside.

Tenzin's POV

Once we did dishes breakfast we went outside I hung back with Buni and whispered to him "do you think she fell asleep on the roof" it was only audible to him.
"Maybe, go and check quickly now" I nodded and ran off.

When I got up there I saw a small Talia cuddled into a ball on the roof. I shook her shoulders gently and whispered "Talia, Talia" she groggily opened her eyes and sat up.
She stretched and said "what?" With a yawn.
"Come on mum and dad are worried sick"
"They are?, what time is it?"
"8:30"
She shot straight up "what!"
"Shhhhh, come on let's get down" she nodded.
We silently crept down the roof till we made it to near where the others where.
"I found her" I shouted calmly and not too loudly over to them.  Mum turned around and ran towards her and hugged her tight.
"You, young lady have a lot of explaining to do" she said as she broke the hug
