Chapter 4 - Discovery

Talia's P.O.V

I kept running/ flying till I reached the cave, flying all the time was tiering.

Aang's P.O.V

I arrived home as soon as I could it was only half an hour after i got the radio call from Katara saying it was an emergency. I got back home, and as soon as I arrived Katara explained everything. Tenzin kept trying to but in when they said she ran away or as she also said flew off.
"But how's that possible! I thought she was a water bender !!" I exclaimed slightly confused and mad at the current situation.
"Dad, I- " Tenzin tried.
"Not now honey we have serious matters to attend to" I replied sweetly.
"BUT DAD!! I KNOW WHERE SHE IS!!" We were all a bit shocked with his sudden out burst, but it was helpful. He ran to get his glider, I already had mine and then he told me to follow him.
"She's in a hidden cave that can only be accessed by airbenders or other forms of flying" he explained.
"Ok there is a lot of explaining that needs done here" I stated. I was really confused on how Tenzin knew so much, they were closer siblings than I thought, huh I guess so.
He showed me around one of the cliffs. It wasn't too far away. It was like he said well hidden. We walked around the corner of a cliff on a short single file track. I never even knew this was here!

We arrived at the mouth of a black cave. Tenzin hesitated and stepped back to let me go first.
"Talia?" I asked gently and sweetly as I went deeper into the cave.
"What do you want dad!" She said I could hear her sobbing and she threw a gust of wind my way.
"I want an explanation and I want you to know its ok"
"Your not mad or angry?" She said as she sniffed.
"No why would I be mad?" I asked hesitantly.
"I dunno? Maybe because I lied, ran away and hid my bending?" She told me.
"No I'm not mad, now come here"I told her as I held my arms out for a hug. With that I could hear sniffling and footsteps coming our way and a warm embrace as she hugged me. "Now come on let's get back your mothers worried sick about you." I said as I wiped her tears away with my thumb.
"I'm sorry dad" she whispered into my ear with a slight yawn.
"It ok your safe now" I whispered back

We walked along the single file track path, I had her in my arms, she was very tired, when we got the the bit where we had to fly I put her on top of my glider and made a quick flight to the top of the cliff where Katara was waiting.
When we got there she was almost asleep, it was almost dark so I left Tenzin with Katara and walked up to her bedroom and placed the sleeping child on her bed and pulled the covers over her. I gave her a little kiss in the forehead before turning to the door and carefully closing it.
Katara walked by. "That was a stressful day" she said with a sigh. We walked back and decided that in the morning we would clear everything up.

Talia's P.O.V

I woke up to be in my bed in the air temple, I waked down stairs to the dinning room for breakfast. Everyone was sitting down, we ate in silence until the end when dad and mum asked me to wait because they wanted to talk to me.
"Talia, first of all are you ok" mum asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." I replied.
"That's good to hear" she replied, I have a feeling that this was going to get somewhere to do with airbending.
"We have a right to believe that you are an airbender?" Dad says. I just look down at my fingers as I twiddle.
"It's ok, being a bender is a good thing" mum reassures.
"But I can bend both air and water?!" I stated sounding more like a question.
"Yeah I'm slightly confused about that? Aang?" Mum asked.
"Umm yeah? We'll have to investigate further." Dad said with uncertainty in his voice.
"Go play with you siblings" mum said pointing out the door.
I ran outside to go and find Tenzin, he's by the spinning gates playing with a flying lemurs.

Still Talia's P.O.V

It was the next day and Tenzin and I went outside to train, today we were going through the spinning gates and we had to be like the leaf, light like a feather and let the wind carry us.

"Tenzin you've done it before show Talia how to do it." Dad said as we stood near the gates.

"Ok" with that dad sent a gust of wind towards the gates to get them to spin. Tenzin walked forward and danced through the gates.

"Ok your turn Talia, follow the wind" dad told me as I breathed slowly and calmed my self. Dad sent another gust of wind and I walked forwards and entered the gates I dodged and danced through them and gracefully landed the other side without the slightest touch. Dad was amazed at my performance and Tenzin was slightly jealous that I could do it so well. But even though he is slightly jealous he is still my over protective brother.
