Chapter 12 - LinZin

Two days later:

3rd person

"Tenzin's got a date! Tenzin's got a date!" Bumi cried as he danced around his younger brother.

"Bumi," Tenzin sighed, "It is just Lin, just Lin."

"Yeah, yeah it's just Lin" Talia said as she came skipping in.

"Lin and Tenzin sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Kya hummed as she walked past her brothers and sister.

Tenzin huffed, "Don't you three have something better to do?"

Kya shrugged and looked at Bumi, "Do we?"

"Nope," Bumi said laughing.

"Kids, kids come on now," Katara said as she rounded the corner, "Here Tenzin, here are those flowers you wanted."

Kya rolled her eyes, "Mom you don't find this weird?"

Katara looked at Kya, "No it's not. Lin is a very sweet girl."

"Wait how long were you two going out before we knew?" Talia questioned thoughtfully.

"Uh... It-w- ... It ... We" Tenzin stuttered.

"He dose the need to tell us if he doesn't want to." Katara said with a motherly tone of authority.

"Ahhhhhh, come on that's not fair" Talia whined.

Tenzin rubbed off his airbender outfit and smiled at Katara, "Thank you mother."

Katara nodded, "And if your father wasn't working late he would say the same thing, you'll do fine"

Kya sighed, "When isn't dad working?"

Katara frowned, "Honey, he is the Avatar he is always working even when it doesn't look like it."

"Unless it comes to Talia" she murmured under her breath so no one could hear.

Tenzin swallowed and looked at the clock, "Oh no Lin will be here any minute."

Katara glared at Talia, Kya and Bumi, "Don't cause any trouble," Katara stood up and kissed Tenzin's forehead, "Have fun." Then she turned from the room.

Bumi smiled, "K-I-S-S-I-N-G," he sang softly and then started to leave the room, "Come on Kya, we have better things to do then bother lover boy Tenzin."

Kya shrugged and huffed and followed after her older brother, Talia watched as they left and shrugged.
"Good luck!" Talia called over her shoulder as she ran in the opposite direction.

Not long after:

Talia's POV

I sat at the bottom of a tree reading. It was a book about the founding of OmaShu, dad said he and mum had there first kiss in the labyrinth of tunnels that pass through the mountain.

Kya came over and stood over me, she looked down at my book and plucked it out my hands.
"Hey, what ya reading!" She said spitefully as she flicked through the pages of the book holding it by the corner of the cover.
"HEY! Give it back Kya!!" I shouted and then asked. As she held it out of my reach and would move it every time I tried to get it, after all she is around 5 years older than me. She smirked and dangled it in front of my face. She then turned around and started to flick through the pages. I tried to look around her it it wasn't working, she kept turning.
"Kya! Give it back!" I whined.
"Ummmm.... nope, sorry... No can do Tally" she said popping the 'p' and bending down to my eye level when saying the last part. She then dropped the book in front of me on the floor, it was soaking wet and the ink was starting t smudge.
I quickly picked it up as Kya stroad away happy with what she accomplished.
I knelt down by it and started to get out the water. Some of the ink was smudged and the book was starting to fall apart at the seam, but apart from that it was fine.

I looked up to where she left and wondered why she would do that. That isn't like the Kya I know.
