A/N: I don't think I mentioned this, but like But Then I Met Her, I bumped this story up to 20 reads= update. Just so ya know :)

Lacey Ritter's life could not have been worse.

Her cousin, Beatrice Prior, is dead. Dead. Or so she thought...

Last night, though, everything changed.

Lacey's cellphone vibrates. It has some phone number. She picks it up. "Hello?"

"Hi, is this Lacey Ritter?"

"Yes.. may I ask who this is?"

"Later." The person, obviously female, replies. "Does the name Tris Prior mean anything to you?"

"What's this about?" she snaps. "My cousin is dead."

"She's not dead." The voice replies.

Lacey is silent for a moment. "What?"

The voice lets out a sigh. "Are Natalie, Andrew, and Caleb Prior there?"

"Yes, but-"

"Can you please put them on the phone?"

Lacey lets out a frustrated huff. She leaves her room and walks down the hall to Natalie and Andrew's room. She knocks on the door. "Come in." Caleb, Andrew, and Natalie all sit on the bed, talking in hushed voices.

Lacey holds out the phone. "S-someone called. They would like to speak to all three of you." Natalie takes the phone and motions for Lacey to stay. She sits on the floor and her aunt turns the phone on speaker.

"Hello?" Natalie asks.

"Hello, Mrs. Prior." The voice says. "I have something to tell you about your daughter."

"Go ahead." Andrew says.

"She's alive." Natalie gasps, covering her hand with her mouth. "They're trying to separate her and Four. Not only that, but we don't know where she is. Thankfully, Tris hacked into the computers and got us contact information for you, as well as an address."

The person then gives them two cell phone numbers to contact them in case they hear anything. Then they hang up.

Lacey remembers her mother last night, their argument. She has never felt worse for someone than she does for Tris.

"That boy doesn't belong with my niece." Her mother says.

"What the hell does that mean?" Lacey smacks her hands down on the table, making Caleb jump.

"It means, that a boy of class belongs with Beatrice, not him!"

"I am sick of you doing this to people! When it was me you did the same thing! The poor girl has dealt with enough in her life. That boy makes her happy, and if you think for a second that I'll let you ruin their relationship like you ruined mine, you're kidding yourself."

"This is my house, Lacey, and I will not stand for your attitude."

"I am an adult, Mother, and I will not let you do that. Wasn't it enough with Jacob?"

Lacey shakes her head and dials one of the numbers. The same voice from last night answers. "Hello?"

"Hi, Marlene, this is Lacey. Can I talk to you about something?"
