A/N: Wow, I'm surprised I didn't get comments about where I left off with Tris and Tobias... haha.
Lacey opens the door to Tris's room. She isn't surprised to find her cousin and Four kissing, his jacket laying abandoned on the bed and his tie loosened. She smothers a giggle, placing her hand over her mouth to cover a smile. They sit on the end of her bed, and still haven't noticed her.
She shuts the door and knocks before opening it this time. When she opens the door, she finds Tris smoothing down her hair and fixing her dress. Lacey laughs at them. "Don't worry, I already saw." She teases. "Good thing you two didn't go too far."
Four laughs. "We do know how to use a lock, Lacey." He tells her.
"Hm. Shame you didn't use that wonderful skill." She leans against the doorframe. "So are you two just going to make up for time lost in your relationship, or are you going to come downstairs and introduce your boyfriend to our family, Tris?"
Tris's cheeks turn bright pink. She fixes her dress and then looks in the mirror, making sure that her makeup isn't ruined. Lacey rolls her eyes and leaves the room.
Tobias stands up and wraps his arms around her waist. "So I get to finally meet your parents?"
Tris wraps her arms around his neck. She looks slightly confused. "Didn't you already meet my mother?"
He nods. "I did. But not as your boyfriend. Only as your instructor." He kisses her, and then pulls away, looking thoughtful. "And as Marcus's son several times. I even came over for dinner once."
"When? I don't remember."
He shakes his head. "Guess not. You were sick." He presses her forehead against hers. "But don't worry- you weren't missed."
She laughs at him. "That's cruel. And anyways, I've come over to your house for dinner before. But you were never there."
The light seems to leave his eyes for a second. Her tone turns kinder, less joking. "It was bad on those nights, wasn't it?"
He nods, and then pulls away a little. "We should go downstairs before Caleb comes up."
Tris nods and takes his hand, leading him downstairs. At the bottom of the stairs, he pulls her closer and kisses her, holding their hands between them. She smiles at him and leads him through a large crowd of intoxicated adults.
She finds her parents on the couch, her mother holding a dark liquid in a glass but not drinking it. She stands in front of them and taps her father, still holding Tobias's hand. She says something in his ear, and he nods and tells her mother.
Tris pulls him back up the stairs, down the hall past her room. He looks back behind them. "Where are we going?" He asks. The sound of the music is a pulsing beat below them, and he can almost imagine the floors vibrating. Maybe they are.
"My parents' room," she says. "I told my father to meet us up here so that we can talk without shouting." The lights that are on the walls are made to look like really old, Victorian-ish lights. Tris pulls him down a completely unlit section of the hall, and then he hears her fumbling for the knob. "Damn it!" She mutters.
He hears her hand sliding along the wall, and then the lights come on. They let off a dull glow, as if they're in need of being changed, but Tris had assured him that they're fine, that that's how they're supposed to be. She twists the knob and turns on the lights in her parents' room.
The room looks somewhat like Tris's, but made for two people. The bed is bigger- which Tobias wonders how that is possible, since Tris's bed is huge- and there are two dressers and two vanities. There's a door that leads to a bathroom, and another door for a closet. Unlike Tris, they don't have a balcony.
After looking around, Tobias looks down at Tris, surprised to see her watching him. One of her hands reaches up and rests against the back of his neck, and after watching him for a minute, her eyes moving from his to his mouth and back again, she pulls him down and kisses him.
They break apart when they hear someone clear their throat. Tris blushes and her hand drops down, fingers sliding through his. She takes a deep breath. Natalie just smiles. "Well, Four, it seems I have the pleasure of meeting you again."
He smiles. "It's nice to see you, Mrs. Prior." he nods at Tris's father.
Natalie raises an eyebrow, looking from Tris to him to their hands. "Well, I assume that you two are dating. Is that correct?"
Tris nods and swallows. "Yes. Um, this is Tobias."
Andrew's eyes light up with understanding. "Ah. Marcus's son."
Tobias nods. "Yes, sir. Though I prefer not to talk about him. I go by Four."
He nods. "Yes, I've heard a lot about you. Mostly from people at work, both during the Chicago project and now."
Natalie watches Tobias, but then looks over at Tris. "Sweetheart, could you go find your brother for me? I'm afraid I haven't seen him all night, and I think he might be in his room. Can you look for me?" Tris nods, and after kissing Tobias on the cheek, she leaves the room.
Natalie looks back at him. "I hope that you won't hurt her."
"I think she could hurt me more, ma'am." He says, clasping his hands together behind his back.
Andrew smiles lightly. "She's a tough one, our daughter. You've taken good care of her so far despite her making it difficult."
Tobias nods his head a little. "It wasn't easy with her." He agrees. "But I wouldn't've wanted to go through it with anyone else. If fact, there's something I'd like to ask you..."

After checking Caleb's room, Tris goes downstairs to search for her brother. She pushes through a crowd of younger adults- mostly twenty-one-year-olds- and feels someone grab her arm. Obviously not Tobias- she would know.
The person turns her around and pulls her away from the crowd, down into dark hallway. Close enough that she can see, but not enough that anyone can see her.
The man presses her against the wall and leans his face close. The scent of alcohol is heavy on his breath, so much that she almost gags. His eyes are slightly glazed over, but full of lust as they move over her body. He smirks before covering her mouth with his, his hands pulling her hips towards him.
Tris shoves him off, the bitter taste of the alcohol making her want to vomit. "Get. Off. Of. Me." She enunciates each word.
He cocks his head to the side. "And why should I?" He asks. "You know you like it." He kisses her again.
Tris brings her knee up between his legs, and he drops to his knees. Without another word she kicks him there again and runs. She moves in between people easily, Dauntless training having made her extremely agile.
She runs smack into her brother, who grabs her wrists at the last second to keep her from falling. "Are you alright?" He asks.
"Fine." She says, and he lets go. She smoothes out her dress. "Mom and Dad are looking for you. Come on, they're in their room." She grabs his wrist and pulls him towards the stairs. The guy that cornered her stops her.
"Where are you going, babe?" He asks.
"Get out of my way." She snarls through gritted teeth.
He wraps an arm around her waist. "I just want to have a little fun."
"And I have a boyfriend, you asshole. A boyfriend who will kick the shit out of you if you don't let me go."
He looks around. "I don't see a boyfriend."
"Then why don't you turn around."
