Tobias wakes up with his face hidden in the crook of someone's neck. He pulls away and then smiles when he sees that Tris is still sound asleep. She looks peaceful when she sleeps, he thinks. She doesn't have that look, like the world is crashing down around her.

She shifts in her sleep, her head resting on her hand. He's reminded of how Ashlyn looks when she's asleep- younger, more vulnerable. He brushes some hair away from her face, and she lets out a small moan before opening her eyes.

Tris smiles up at him. "Morning." she says, her voice slurred a little from sleep. "How did you sleep?"

He can't help but smiling back. "Great, you?"

She sits up and stretches her arms. "Amazing."

She lays back down next to him and faces him. "Lacey said that maybe one time, you could come up and visit. She said that there're plenty of guest rooms."

Tobias kisses her. "I'd like that."

There are footsteps down the stairs, and Tobias's uncle, John, stops at the bottom. "I'm going to make breakfast. Do you two want anything?"

Tobias smiles down at Tris, then looks back at his uncle. "Scrambled eggs?"

"For both of you?" Tris nods, and John goes into the kitchen.

"I should get a shower." She says.

"Okay." Tobias kisses her forehead. "I'm going to wake up the little monsters."

She grins. "Your cousins?"

"Yeah. They're evil when they wake up. Especially Ashlyn. She gets violent when you wake her up." Tris nods. "Usually after she reads certain books, she gets very violent. And she just reread The Mortal Instruments, The Hunger Games, and Anna Dressed in Blood. So she might kill me."

Tris laughs. "She can't be worse than me."

He thinks about this for a moment. "You're right- you're just as bad." Before she can reply, he runs up the stairs. Tris grabs her clothes from yesterday and walks upstairs- thank God that his aunt is allowing him to use their shower- and goes into the bathroom.

Her shower takes ten minutes, and after she dries her hair breakfast is ready. She checks her phone- Lacey texted while she was in the shower, and she'll be here at ten. Tris checks the time- nine-thirty. She sighs and goes into the dining room to eat.

She thinks as she sits down, I wish I could stay longer.
