A/N: Tris's shoes & leggings are in the external link, as promised.

Tris pulls him into her bedroom and shuts the door. Tobias looks around the large space, at the ivory, white, and goldish tiles and the glass door with the balcony. He then turns and smiles at her, pressing her against the door and kissing her gently.

They come up for air a few moments later, and she's glad that Lacey only buys the non-smearing lipstick. That would be kinda embarrassing. Okay, extremely embarrassing. Her fingers are laced together at the back of his neck, and his hands rest on her waist. He presses his forehead against hers. "I love you."

She smiles. "I love you too. And about in Abnegation-"

He cuts her off by pressing his mouth against hers. "Let's not talk about that. Okay?"

She nods, breathless and unable to speak. Her mouth curves up into a smile. "It never happened?"

He shakes his head, grinning. "Nope. Never." They kiss again. She presses one of her heels against the door, balancing on one foot. She'd twisted her ankle the other day learning how to walk in these damn things, and it aches now from standing so much.

He tightens his grip on her, one of his arms moving up and wrapping around her upper back right below her shoulder blades. Her hands rest on his cheeks, and for the first time since Erudite, they kiss like they used to. With no secrets crushing them apart, no anger or fear. Nothing but love, and their own happiness.

Uriah walks around Times Square, trailing behind Lynn, Lauren, and Shauna. He'd felt a sort of black pit in his stomach since he'd left the Ritter's house, since he and Marlene had turned opposite directions. They really hadn't talked much over the past few months, and he thinks it might have something to do with their fight.

He shoves his hands into the pockets of his jeans, his thin jacket that he'd had in Dauntless barely doing anything to fight off the cold October air. Zeke had called him a ‘brainless dumbass’ for wearing a thin T-shirt and jeans, but Uriah had just said that he didn’t feel the need to dress up when they weren’t staying longer than a simple ‘Hey, what’s up?’

“Marlene!” Lynn and Shauna shout. A slim brunette in all black clothes and a gray knit beanie turns around, and her eyes light up when she sees them. She runs towards them, wrapping her arms around the girls.

“It’s been so long!” She laughs. “An hour at most!”

Lynn laughs. “Yeah, but it’s been months since we’ve seen you long enough to actually catch up.”

Marlene shrugs. “True.” She turns to Zeke and hugs him. “How’ve you been?” she asks him.

“Great.” He smiles. “New Orleans is amazing. Right, Uriah?”

Her brown eyes lock on his. He smiles. “Yeah. Plenty of ghosts.”

She grins and walks over, wrapping her arms around his waist. Uriah notices that she’s wearing gray knit fingerless gloves, too, and that her hair is pulled to the side in a loose braid. She rests her head against his chest, right over his heart, and sighs.

He slides his arms around her and kisses the top of her head. “Long time, no talk, huh Mar?” He says quietly.

She nods against his chest. “I’m sorry. I’ve just been busy.” She’s quiet for a minute. Then, answering his unasked question, “No. I don’t have a boyfriend.”

“Why not?” He asks. “You’re a pretty girl, Mar. You can’t be hooked on one guy forever. Especially not me. You can do better.”

She looks up at him, a small smile tilting up the corners of her mouth and lighting up her eyes, which reflect the bright lights around them. “But that’s the thing. I don’t want anyone else. And I’m not hooked on you, Uriah. I love you.

He feels himself smile. He bends down and presses his mouth against hers, and her fingers grab the fabric of his shirt, holding it in tight fists. He pulls away a little bit, grinning. “I love you too, Marlene.”
