Chapter 6
Lightningpaw awoke to find herself in a lush meadow. The fresh breeze carried the scent of a mouse. She dropped down into a hunters crouch. Unlike other cats she tucked her tail in. She crept up on the mouse and leaped onto its back. She then gave it a swift bite to the neck.
"Nice move" a deep voice said behind her .Lightningpaw turned around to see a long furred brown tabby male with ice blue eyes. She narrowed her eyes at the tom.
"thanks. Do I know you?" . The male chuckled.
" no But I know you"
" I have to go" Lightningpaw said and started to walk away.
" aren't you going to tell me your name?" he asked. She stopped and looked over her shoulder.
"I thought you said you knew me? names Lightningpaw"
"my names Hawkfrost"
Lightningpaw awoke a sunny morning. She thought of Hawkfrost. She started to walk out of the den. Cats were in pairs and where sharing tongues.The only cats left were Greydawn and Lightningpaw. He looked at her. She looked at him. he narrowed his eyes and sat down. He started to groom the back of his pelt But could not reach. Oh starclan why am I doing this?! Lightningpaw walked over and helped him by grooming it for him.
"What do you think your doing!" he hissed
"helping you fox dung!" Lightningpaw hissed back. Greydawn tried hard not to purr as Lightningpaw groomed his pelt gently. He let out a loud purr. Lightningpaw grinned. Greydawn looked embarrassed. Soon he fell asleep.
" Greydawn can you groom my pelt now its only fair" Lightningpaw grunnted. stupid toms.
"oh what? oh okay" he stumbled over to her. He started to groom her long black fur. His touch sent shook waves down her back. He then caught a knot in her furr.
"ow that hurt" said Lightningpaw. Greydawn narrowed his eyes. his once wide pupils turned to slits. He started to lash his tail side to side.
" Fine" he stalked off out off camp. What got in his fur? Lightningpaw shook her head and finished off grooming her pelt.
