Chapter 27

"I know that!" she hissed.

"I know you do but, this cat could make the clans turn against you" the voice boomed. Lightningfrost dug her claws into the frozen ground. Sun light lit slowly up the forest. The snow glistened in the sun light. Bird song broke though the forest, ringing in her ears.

"You don't understand. I cant go back!" She snarled.

"If you don't the clans will hunt you down and kill you, lightningfrost" The voice started to fade. Snow started to fall quietly from the sky. She was torn from being free and the warrior code. The warrior code meant every thing to her but everything in the forest seemed to be filled with lies. 

"I'm acting like an apprentice" She hissed to herself. A storm was inside her head. Who was the cat that know of her power? Why would they think that I would destroy the clans? Thoughts clawed at her. The lose of her brother seemed liked bee stings in her heart. She looked back at the forest, it seemed to e calling her from deep within. She lashed her tail side to side and made her way back to the forest.

  Snow seemed to be caught up in her pads. The icy wind had broken though her thick fur and as stinging her skin. Her eyes watered as the wind carried heavy snow flake into them. She was closing in on Darkclan territory. A robin let out an alarm call and flew away. Your lucky I'm not hunting bird she thought. Her stomach growled at thought of hunting. She pushed the hunger aside and quickened her pace back to Darkclan territory. The silence seemed to seem the truth at her. She closed her eyes tightly and continued to walk. Soon she came to the border. She stopped and remember Hawkfrost. She remember how he made her feel. Lightningfrost tried to block him out of her mind. She walked over the border.

"This is were you belong" A voice whispered. Then she heard paws bounding towards her, She saw Snowfeather and Riverpaw

"Lightningfrost! We wondered were you got too! Shadestar even sent out more border patrols." Snowfeather said.

"well I'm here now" Lightningfrost sighed 

"Lightningfrost I have passed my final assessment! I'm going to be a warrior at moon-rise!" Riverpaw said proudly. Her blue eyes gleamed. Lightningfrost gave her a nod

"I cant wait to know what your warrior name will be" Lightningfrost said. She could tell Riverpaw was happy to see her back.

"Lets get back, I cant wait to hear what the clan will have to say" Said Snowfeather grimly and they made their way back to camp.
