Chapter 32

Rabbitjumps POV

Rabbitjump cast one last look over his shoulder at Lightningfrost. He then followed the Meadowclan patrol back to camp.

They crawled through the heather barrier. The Meadowclan camp was surrounded by steep, grassy hills. Flowerstars den was located on top of a small hill in the clearing, the sun lit up her heather den. Rabbitjump walked over to the fresh kill pile and picked out a plump rabbit. He settled him self down in the sun to eat his meal. He looked up to see Silverwing looking at him. He flicked his tail for her to join him. The silver she cat bounded towards him and settled herself down next to him in the sun. They both started to tear chunks of warm flesh from the rabbit.

"What's going on between you and Lightningfrost?" Silverwing asked. Rabbitjump narrowed his eyes.

"Nothing yet" he said calmly. Silverwing narrowed her blue eyes.

"Rabbitjump what's going on" she growled. Rabbitjump could hear his other litter mates bounding towards them.

"You will find out at the gathering" he hissed. She flinched at his harsh reply

"What are we going to find out at the gathering?" Firesoul asked. Silverwing shot a look at Rabbitjump. Beesting narrowed his eyes.

"Its something I must tell the other clans" Rabbitjump growled

"Surly you tell us first" Beesting said. Rabbitjump stood up and stretched his legs. And walked towards the warriors den

"Where are you going?" Silverwing said. Rabbitjump turned to look at her.

"I'm going to rest my eyes" he said. He went in to warriors den. The sweet scent of flowers hit his brown nose. He settled himself down in his moss nest.

He woke up. Once his eyes adjusted to the dark gloom in the den he could pick out the soft, rising of his clan mates pelts. He stumbled out of the den. A thick fog covered the floor. He walked out of the dirt tunnel, trying to avoid Firesoul who was guarding the camp entrance. He bounded across the meadow. Dew clung to his fur. The wind rustled the trees. The thing that made Rabbitjump stop was how the fog was only on the ground, he could see other things. He went towards a patch of grass half surrounded by trees. He sat down. Suddenly the fog got thicker but was still on the grounded. The wind stopped. The barking of a fox stopped.

"She's here..."
