Lightningpaws pov

"Get up Shadestar has called a meeting!" a voice hissed in her ear. Lightningpaw slowly opened her eyes. The suns rays blinded her. She let out a sigh and slowly pulled herself up. As she walked out of the den she saw Shadestar sitting on the high log. Lightningpaw quckily ran over to sit with her father.

"As you all know Troutpool has had kits. A female called Riverkit and, two males called Flamekit and Smokekit." Lightningpaw looked over a Snowfeather when and Smokekit was mentioned. Snowfeather looked at her paws and Lightningpaw grinned. Snowfeather had taken a liking to the kit.

"But!", Shadestar continued, "She can not fill out her deputy responsibilitys. So untill the kits are made apperentices Thistlehawk will take her place" Shadestar bellowed and looked proudly down at Thistlehawk. Lightningpaw looked at her father who looked shocked.

"Thistlehawk! Thistlehawk!" every cat shouted. Shadowmoon and Lightningpaw the loudest. Greydawn narrowed his eyes. His tail lashed side to side. What is his problem?! Lightningpaw wanted to dig her claws in his pelt but that would get her nowhere. Thistlehawk walked up to Shadestar and dipped his head.

"That is all" cats began to congratulate Thistlehawk.

"Lightningpaw let's go hunting" Sunsky said. Lightningpaw followed her mentor out of the camp.

" What's up with Greydawn?" Lightningpaw could not help herself not to ask.

"well I have no idea" Sunsky sighed.

"well there-"

"let's just hunt okay?" Lightningpaw nodded.

"right you go left I will go right. I will meet you here when the sun is at its highest"Sunsky said.

"see you then" Sunsky bounded off. Lightningpaw started to walk until she was at the end of Darkclan teritory. Suddenly something pinned her down and claws raked her pelt. It was not a full attack. She turned to look at her attacker. Greydawn.She hissed and tryed to push him off. It looked like anger and revenge in his eyes. What have I done?! Luckily Thistlehawk came and pulled him off.

"Its not nice is it Thistlehawk when your kin gets attacked!" hissed Greydawn. Thistlehawk stopped hissing and fell silent. Greydawn ran away into the forest

"are you okay?" Thistlehawk said while licking the light scratches on her pelt

"I'm okay" Lightningpaw slowly got up. Sunsky caming running towards them

"I heard hissing I thought we were under attack." Sunsky panted.

"no it was nothing. Just a kittypet causing trouble nothing to worry about"

"we should-"

"I said it was nothing" Thistlehawk said slowly. Why is he covering up Greydawn? He attacked me! Sunsky dipped her head and walked off.

" let's get back. Nothing will be said about today okay?"

"yes Thistlehawk" Lightningpaw said and followed her father back to camp.

once there Lightningpaw layed under a tree. Greydawn was not at the camp. Then Lightningpaw saw a very small bundle of ginger fur waddle towards her.

"hi I'm Flamekit" he squeeked

"I'm Lightningpaw"

"wow I can't wait to be an apperentice" his voice was so small but so cute.

"Don't bother Lightningpaw" Troutpool called from the nursery.

"it okay! he is fine" lightningpaw called back. Troutpool dipped her head.

"today I'm going to know every warrior in my camp" he said.

"I will come with you if you want" the little kit jumped up and down. I will take that as a yes.

"well you must know Redfoot. your mother and father. oh look that is my mother Shadowmoon come let's go and see her" Lightningpaw slowly walked towards her mother keeping the pace of the kit.

"I'm Flamekit"

"hello I am Shadowmoon" at that moment Thistlehawk walked over

"that's my father Thistlehawk"

"hello" Flamekit squeeked.

"hi there" her father said.

"let's go and see Sunsky and Snowfeather" Lightningpaw said while leading the kit away.

"you must get hot with that long fur" Flamekit said. Lightningpaw chuckled.

"I do but unlike the others I get to have a longer break to help cool down" They soon got over to the two females.

"Flamekit wanted to say hi" Lightningpaw said.

"hi Flamekit I'm Snowfeather and she is Sunsky" Snowfeather said

"hi"

"Flamekit come on its time for a nap!" Troutpool called. Flamekit trotted over to her. Troutpool looked at lightningpaw as to say thankyou. Lightningpaw dipped her head as a reply. Was I really like that as a kit?
