Chapter 25

Lightningfrost slowly made her way back to camp. The StarClans cats words still fresh in her mind. She shacked her pelt as if there was sand on it and, she broke into a run back to the DarkClan camp.

   Once she was there the clan seemed quiet. Snowfeather was still out on patrol, Greydawn had taken Flamepaw out on battle training with Sunsky. Lightningfrost sat under the willow tree and started to groom her pelt. Then she saw Smokepaw walking towards her. He came and sat beside her.

"Shouldn't you be training?" Lightningfrost asked not giving the tom a glance. He shifted his grey paws in the snow.

"Shadowmoon had a bellie ache so she went to see Redfoot, she told me to wait for you and, that we would train together" Lightningfrost twitched her whiskers. Smokepaw looked at her. 

"Wait here" she told him. She heard the apprentice sigh as she walked towards the medicine cats den. Lightningfrost poked her head in the small den to see Shadowmoon sprawled out in a nest. Redfoot was sat next to her, trying to get her to eat some herbs

"How is she?" Lightningfrost asked

"shes ok. She must have eaten some crow-food" He said walking over to his herb store and took some poppy seeds. Shadowmoon let out a moan of pain

"Isn't there anything else you could give her?" She asked camly. Redfoot narrowed his eyes

"I'm the medicine cat I know what I can give her, when and how much she will need." The ginger tom growled   

"I have never doubted you Redfoot" Lightningfrost said slowly dipping her head to the medicine cat. She began to walk away when she herd Redfoots voice

"Shaadowmoon wants you to train Smokepaw but can you be back before sun-set as I would like to talk to you" he called. Lightningfrost flicked her tail implying that she had heard him. She walked over to Smokepaw who was crouched under the willow tree

"Come on! We are going battle training!" she called to Smokepaw who jumped up and ran over to her.

"yes! I heard you the best fighter in the clan! Can you show me some cool battle moves?" he said bouncing like a kit. They made their way though the forest. Soon they came to the training arena.

"right I want you to tell me, what would you do if a warrior leapt at you?"  she said as she walked around the young tom.

"Shadowmoon and the other warriors never showed us-" he began but Lightningfrost cut him off

"Did I ask if they had shown you? If I wanted to know that they had shown you I would have asked" she growled, " I shall ask again, What would you do if a warrior leapt at you!" Smokepaw narrowed his amber eyes.

"I would move out of the way" He said not keeping his eyes of the black warrior. Then Lightningfrost leapt at him. Smokepaw was about to move out of the way but Lightningfrost was quicker. She pinned the tom down with one paw. she grinned.

"Wrong" She hissed. She let Smokepaw get up.

"So what would I do?" he said while getting up and shaking the snow off his grey pelt.

"You would lay on your back with all four paws in the air, claws unsheathed. Then when your enemy is almost on top off you grip them with all four paws and push them over the top off you. Then quickly jump up and turn around and pin them down"  she said'
