Chapter 7
Lightningpaw watched Greydawn stalk away. She felt lonely now he had gone. She shook the feeling away. She looked around to see Sunsky walking towards her.
"So do want to go battle training?"she asked. Lightningpaw started to nodded her head. Sunsky ran though the thorn tunnel. Lightningpaw close to her heels. They ran though the sunlit forest. Lightningpaw stayed in the shadows But let te sun touch her pelt sometimes. They came to a stop to an area full of bark and fallen logs.
" Right so first I'm going to teach you how to size up your foe" Sunsky said. But I don't really want to battle Treepaw and Nightpaw in battle,But my clan means more. Lightningpaw said to herself. Sunsky reared up.
" keep your tail out so you can balence," Lightningpaw copied her "when I come at you push me down with your front paws" Lightningpaw crouched down. The two females started to hiss at each other. Lightningpaw reared up and stuck her tail out. Sunsky came at her. Lightningpaw leaped into the air and jumped on Sunskys back and pushed her head to the ground.
" I did not even teach you that move yet But well done" Sunsky got up.
" Right now how to get your foe down.When they are hissing leap at them and knock their paws so they fall down" But Lightningpaw had a different idea. Sunsky hissed.Lightningpaw ran and with one paw push Sunskys head down to the right. And with the other paw she pushed her front two paws to the left. Sunsky was now laying down on her side. Lightningpaw put one paw on Sunskys head the other on her bellie. Lightningpaw let Sunsky up.
"wow your good!" Sunsky looked down at her proudly. Lightningpaw puffed out her whife chest. Suddenly Greydawn came out from a bush carrying a vole. He narrowed his eyes at the females.
"Hey Greydawn want to battle Lightningpaw?" asked Sunsky while smiling.
"I have better things to do" Greydawn grunnted
"are you scared she will beat you" grinned sunsky. Greydawn rolled his eyes and put the vole down. Greydawn hissed. Lightningpaw reared up. Greydawn was going to pounce for her tail. Tuck your tail in. a voice said.Lightningpaw with out thinking tucked her tail in. Greydawn leaped for her tail But missed and sent bark flying cross the clearing. Lightningpaw jumped and landed on his back.
"get off!" Lightningpaw stepped off him. Greydawn shook his pelt down and picked up his vole and left.
"let's get back" sighed Sunsky. Lightningpaw followed her mentor back to camp.
