"Lightningkit from this day until you receive your warrior name, you will be called Lightningpaw"

"Lightningpaw! Lightningpaw!"The yowls of her of her clanmates rang out around her making her pelt tingle as she heard her new name for the first time. Shadestar looked around the clearing His gaze was on Greydawn. please starclan don't let my mentor be Greydawn! Lightningpaw begged. The long haired tom has never taken a liking to her since she was a kit.

"Sunsky, your are a very strong wise warrior, I am sure you will pass on your skills to Lightningpaw" Sunsky walked up to Lightningpaw and they touched noses. Shadestar looked at Sunsky and dipped his head.

"Next sun rise will be the gathering." he bellowed and jumped down from the high rock and walked into his den. Lightningkit saw Greydawn walk over to her.

"Well now your a apprentice maybe, you will stop acting like a kit" he narrowed his eyes and grinned. It was like he was trying to make her angry just for the fun of it.

"Well Greydawn would you like to enlighten me on how, I have been acting like a kit?" she grinned back and questioned him boldly. His grinned faded. His tail flicked side to side with anger.

"Greydawn we are going hunting!" called Troutpool who was waiting with Thistlehawk and Shadowmoon. Sunsky trotted towards Lightningpaw. Not only was she her mentor but also one of her close friends.

" So do you want to see some of the territory?" she asked.

"sure!" Lightningpaw stood up and followed Sunsky out of the thistle tunnle. She looked around to see tall trees touching the sky. The forest was dark and cool. Sun light tried to break though the tall thick trees. There where fallen logs and rocks what, had moss all over them.

" I will take you to the Meadowclan boarder." she said while breaking I to a run. Loads of different smells hit Lightningpaws black nose, it was hard to take it all in. Lightningpaw ran at full speed she saw a fallen log abote 12 cats her. She buched up her mucles , still running full sped and sprng up from the ground. Her back paw skimmed the top of the log. Her paw hit the ground but she was still running. Lightningpaw did not stumble like most cats would. She over took Sunsky in a heart beat.But she stopped when she could smell a weird smell.

" wow your fast!" panted Sunsky trying to catch her breath. When Lightningpaw was running she felt free but she was to interested in the scent.

"Whats that smell?" Asked Lightningpaw.

"That is the Meadowclan boarder line. Meadowclan cats are the fastest cats in all the clans" said Sunsky.

" We sure are" Lightningpaw looked to see a brown tabby male walk towards them. He had a ginger female with him. He must be a apprentice, she thought. She narrowed her eyes at him.

" hello lilyfoot" said Sunsky kindly

"Hi Sunsky. Is this your apprentice?" she asked. Lilyfoot smiled at Lightningpaw. The brown male kept his light green gaze on Lightningpaw.

"Yes her name is Lightningpaw. So how is Treepaw doing?"

"oh good he has been training for two moons now" Lilyfoot said proudley. Treepaw puffed out his cheast. Toms! Lightningpaw rolled her eyes.

"well me and Treepaw better go see your around!" Lilyfoot called over her shoulder. Treepaw looked back and smiled. Lightningpaw smiled back and looked at Sunsky.

"I thought you could not talk to cats out side the clan?"

"you can as long as you don't tell them clan secerts and that you don't have a mate out side of the clan its okay. Come on I need to show you stream clan!" Sunsky started to run along the edge of Meadowclan territory. Then a small rocky stream appeared. The cold wated touched Lightningpaws paws. The fresh water cooled her down.

" This small stream leads out to a bigger stream in Streamclans territory." Sunsky pointed her muzzle over to where a large stream circled a small island.Lightningpaw gussed that was where the camp was. She could see small fish in the river and the sun setting over the blue stream.

" I think its time we got back" said Sunsky

"sure and thanks for today it was fun" said Lightningpaw while bounding back to the camp with her mentor.

Once they got back Lightningpaw found a plump mouse at the top of the pile.

" do you want so share with me?" Lightningpaw asked Sunsky

"no thanks I want to ask shadestar something. She walking of leaving Lightningpaw alone. So she ate the mouse alone. When she was finished she walked into the apprentice den and sat in her new nest. I can't wait for tomorrow. Then she fell asleep
