Chapter 21

"Lightningpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code even if it costs you your life?" Shadestar said.

"I do"

"Then from this day forward you shall be known as Lightningfrost for your sharp deadly skill in battle and your wiseness with words" Shadestar rested his head on hers and she licked his shoulder in reply.

"Lightningfrost! Lightningfrost!" The cats cheered. Lightningfrost turned to face them, she narrowed her eyes and grinned letting out and yowl.

Starclans cats pov

"We must tell her soon" said a ginger tom

"I know but how? She has so much power its going to be hard for her to take it in" Relpied a spotted shecat .

"I shall tell her" Rasped a blue- grey she cat walking towards them.

"Good luck thats all i can say" Said a white tom with bright amber eyes.

Lightningfrosts pov

"The cats going to the gathering are Redfoot, Troutpool, Lightningfrost, Greydawn, Flamepaw,Shadowmoon and smokepaw" Shadestar said. Lightningfrost lifted her head up at her name. Riverpaw was sharing a mouse beside her.

"Why can't I go?" Whimpered Riverpaw. Lightningfrost stood up and streched her limbs. She flicked her ear with her tail. Lightningfrost trotted over to the entrance and stood next to Flamepaw.

"You fight well" Lightningfrost said not looking at Flamepaw. The young tom looked down at his paws.

"Th thanks" he mumbled. She smiled.

"Are you all ready?" Shadestar called. The cats murmed. They started to walk out of the camp. Lightningfrost trotted behind the other cats. The cats broke into a run and charged though the forest. They came to the cave that held the gathering. As they walked into the cave they saw the other cats. Shadestar flicked his tail. Then a brown tabby ran up to her.

"Lightningpaw!" Treewish said licking her shoulder.

"Its Lightningfrost" she said with a smile.

"I love your warrior name!" He said with a smile. She laughed. Lightningfrost saw Nightpaw sitting with some cats.

"I want to go and speak to someone" She said flicking her tail. Treewish can with her though the group of cats. She walked over to Nightpaw

"Nightpaw" she said. Nightpaws grey eyes rested on her then she looked away

"What do you want?" She said

"Just to say sorry about..... The little fight we had" she said shooting a glance at Treewish

"The gathering has started!" Shouted Honeystar. Shadestar stepped forward in his tree.

"I shall start" he said. His bright green gazed drifted around from each cat. Darkclan leaders sre known for making cats feel uneasy. He looked like a shadow in the trees.

"We have three new apprentices Flamepaw, Riverpaw and Smokepaw!"

"Flamepaw! Riverpaw! Smokepaw!" The cats shouted

"Also" the darkclan leader said ", we have a new warrior Lightningfrost!"

"Lightningfrost! Lightningfrost! Lightningfrost!" The cats cheered Treewish the loudest

"That is all" he said stepping back into the dark so his green eyes glowed.Honeystar stepped forwards

"We also have a new warrior" she said looking at Shadestar,"Nighthawk"

"Nighthawk! Nighthawk! Nighthawk!" The cats shouted

"Congratulations" Lightningfrost whispered to Nighthawk. She flicked her tail in reply.

"That's all" she said. Flowerstar stepped forward and dipped her head to Honeystar.

"Our camp is fixed" she began "we thanks Shadestar foe letting us stay" she dipped her head. He flicked his ear.

"Also we have four new apprentices Rabbitpaw Beepaw Firepaw and Silverpaw!"

"Rabbitpaw! Beepaw! Firepaw! Silverpaw!" Cats shouted

"Come Streamclan" Honeystar shouted. Nighthawk stood up and looked at Lightningfrost

"Can we just be friends?" She said with a smile.

"Of course" Lightningfrost said. Nighthawk looked and Treewish and shyly looked at her paws and bounded off. Shadestar stood up and looked at his cats. Lightningfrost got up and said goodbye to Treewish and followed her clan mates.

She got back to camp to find sunsky waiting for her.

"I had you a nest" she said

"Thanks!" Lightningfrost when into the warriors den and went to sleep.

She woke up to find her self in a star lit sky. Starclan. She saw Bluestar walk towards her.

"I must tell you something" she said. Lightningfrost sat down then Bluestar sat down and looked at the stars.

"It is time I told you the truth," Bluestar began "I was the leader of Thunderclan. We are kin. Your blood line is made from ten different clans. Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Riverclan, Windclan,Skyclan, Oceanclan, Darkclan, Streamclan, Meadowclan and Starclan" she paused to see Lightningfrosts reaction.

"How were Darkclan, Streamclan and Meadowclan created?"

"Many seasons ago some Thunderclan cats and Shadowclan cats got together. They wanted to find a new forest but the other cats did not agree. However some windclan cats and some Riverclan cats agreed with the Shadowclan and Thunderclan cats. So they set off to find somewhere new. Thundercaln cats and the Shadowclan cats made their own clan. Darkclan. Windclan were Meadowclan and Riverclan Streamclan. Over the many seasons the cats got used to their new home."

"Am I the only cat like this?"

"No. But you shall meet one day" bluestar rested her tail on Lightningfrosts shoulder.

"Why am I here?" Lightningfrost asked but Bluestar started to fade......

Then she remembered something. She spoke out loud

"A lightning bolt will be born and bring fire. The lightning bolt will strike and bring death. Peace will come with night. But be warned the lightning bolt holds the power of starclan and the clans in its paws. If this fate is for filled then the clans hold in the balance..."
