Chapter 28: Proposed by Prince Charming? I Must Be Dreaming (O.O)

I wake up and quickly get ready for school. I freshen up and wear my dark blue denim jeans with my black Runaways crop top and my denim black jacket. I tie my hair in a fishtail plait. I grab my boots and rush out of the house with my bag and new car keys. I quickly head into the kitchen and find a plate of breakfast waiting there for me with a note from mom.

Kat,
I'm sorry I got called in to work early. I'm leaving without saying goodbye but make sure to finish your breakfast before leaving for school.

Mom

I eat my breakfast and head out to my car. I pull out of the drive way and head to school. I reach the school with 5 minutes to spare. I park my car and quickly head out to my lockers. I find my friends waiting for me near my locker.

"Sorry I'm late. Again." I apologise.

"Its okay, now hurry up." Anne says. I open my locker and quickly grab my books from my locker and we head out to our classes. The day went by normally but I didn't find Ryan anywhere. After our kiss yesterday we didn't get the chance to talk as I was dragged away by Anne and he by Sean. The party got over soon and everyone left, Ryan stayed back so that we could talk but my mom kicked him out saying how late it was and about school. So we didn't really get a chance for interaction. The interaction that took place was through our eyes that's all. It was lunch time now and I sent Anne and Leo bickering about to th cafeteria. Me and Rose head towards my locker. I open my locker and a white rose falls out. I crouch down and pick it up. There was a note attached to the Rose.

To the one who is as beautiful and pure like this rose. It read.

"Wow, looks like you got yourself a secret admirer." Rose comments staring at the rose in my hand.

"Perhaps." I say staring at the flower. I wonder if this was Ryan? The Ryan I know doesn't so sweet. We start heading out to the cafeteria when a boy walks up to me and stops us in our tracks.

"For you." He says handing me another white rose.

"This is your secret admirer?" Rose asks looking at the boy.

"Thank you." I say smiling at him while receiving the rose. Before I could say anything else he walks away. We resume walking when another boy walks up to me and hands me a rose. "Thank you. Who is giving this?" I ask him but instead of answering he walks away. This happens for the next 6 times. I was almost at the cafeteria when a boy comes upto me and hands me another rose just as I was about to open the door to the cafeteria. "Okay, who is giving me this? Hey.. wait." I call out to the boy but he was already gone.

"This is getting creepy now." Rose says.

"You think?" I ask her. Both of us walk inside the cafeteria when a boy, who I recognise as Landon the captain of our soccer team one of the popular walk upto me with a red rose in hand. Anne and Leo behind him.

"Hi Katherine." He greets.

"Hey Landon. What's up?" I ask him staring curiously up at him since he was taller than me. I swear everyone is taller than me. Stupid small legs. I look around and find everyone's attention on us. I find Ryan and his friends who are now my friends too sitting in one corner of the room.

"Okay so here goes." Landon says going down in his knees. "Katherine, I have liked you from the minute I saw you. I have thought many times of proposing to you but I never could summon the courage. Until now. Would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asks. Before I could say anything I feel a figure stepping in front of me.

"Up on your feet Daniel." Ryan roars at Landon, who quickly gets up.

"Ryan stay out of this." Landon says.
