Chapter Six ~ Sister?
"I'll give you one thing, you're really good at telling fairy tales..." He said. I sighed in defeat and lay my head down on the table. I've been trying to convince him to believe me... It hasn't been working out really well.
The front door opened and a girl walked through. She was quite pretty... She had dark red hair and blue eyes with a peachy skin tone. She walked through the kitchen and set her bag down on the floor.
((*if you don't like cussing.... I'm sorry... There really won't be that much and it won't be too bad... I won't say f*** or b**** or things like that because I know some people don't like it*))
"Who the hell is this Jeremy? You never bring friends home, let alone girls." She scoffed. I'm not quite sure I liked her attitude very much...
"Scarrlet this is Ekiria, Ekiria this is my sister Scarrlet." Jeremy said. I smiled at her and waved my hand. She just rolled her eyes and picked up her bag from the flor where she put it.
"What kind of name is that? Don't let her touch any of the figurines Jeremy." She said rather rudely, then she walked out of the room we were in and went somewhere else in the house.
"What is her problem?" I asked. I looked at Jeremy to realize he was looking at me rather sheepishly. I raised one eyebrow and he began to speak.
"Well, she's never really met any of my friends because she isn't into the kind of stuff I'm into... We are like total opposites. She likes mythology and I like science. It's kind of funny actually." He stated.
"Magic is just science that humans don't seem to understand just yet." I mumbled.
He stood up from the table and walked across the small bright room towards a basin type thing. When he pulled a little lever up, water began pouring out of a long tube-like thing and poured into the basin.
There are so many things that I know what they're called, but I have no idea what they do or how they work... And other things I know how I work them, but I don't know what they're called. This world is extremely confusing...
"Hmm... My friends Tony and Delilah invited me out tonight... We were going to go to Tony's house and stay the night over there to just hang out. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you came along... Only if you wanted to that is.." He said nervously. I smiled at him very friendly like... I suppose making friends with other humans couldn't hurt... Could it?
"It sounds very interesting, yet confusing. When you say 'hang out' will we actually be hanging from somewhere?" I asked truthfully. I'm not too sure I've read anything about 'hanging out' before in any of the books...
He laughed as soon as I finished talking and shook his head. "Hang out means just to like invite a friend or two over and just have some fun together... I dont know get to know each other, etcetera etcetera...." He said calmly. I nodded to show I understood what he was saying... Even though I still wasn't too sure about it...
"Oh... Very well... I would enjoy um... Hanging out? With your friends..." I said with a nervous smile.
"Well, we better get going then... It's already seven and Tony told me to be there by seven-thirty. You okay to leave right now?" I nodded and stood up from where I was sitting. This should be a very interesting first night....
((*Chapter seven should be out a little later on tonight.. This chapter was way to short so I started on the next chapter right away :)*))
