Chapter Nineteen ~ Time
As we waited in the clearing, watching the sun rise in the pink sky, it looked like it was going to he a beautiful day. That didn't fool me though, today has only two ways of going. One, we convince Sabas to leave us be, and that we are no threat; or two, Sabas doesn't listen to us and he kills us all, or just Jeremy.
Either way, I will not be happy. If we convince Sabas, I will still need to wipe Jeremy's memory and he will not remember anything. And if he's dead? I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to live with myself...
"You okay?" Raz sat beside me, as I was sitting by the edge of the crystal blue lake. He should already know that I won't be okay, no matter what happens.
"What do you think?" I asked him, and he nodded in response. "No matter what happens today, I want you to know that I love you Raz. I don't care how you interpret that, but let's just say that I wouldn't want anyone else to be my mate." I pulled him into a hug and kissed his cheek, and he simply replied with a sad smile.
"Uh.. Guys?" Jeremy stuttered. I turned around, and saw a buff looking man walking towards us. He had black hair and dark skin, but he also had scars covering his arms and face. Battle scars. The markings of a warrior.
"Sabas." Raz said his name with venom in every syllable. Lets hope this works out the better way.
"Raziel, Ekiria, you must already know why I'm here." Sabas said, his deep voice trying to sound official. You can see it in his eyes that he cannot wait to suck the life from Jeremy... I shivered at the thought.
"Yes, and we've come to talk." I said calmly.
"I don't talk, I work."
"Well maybe you can listen to us and-"
"Enough!!" He screamed. "Let me have the sad excuse for a human so I can do my job and go home."
"Please... Just hear me out Sabas... please." I fell to my knees as tears streamed down my face.
"I never knew you were this pathetic Ekiria." He pushed me aside and began walking towards Raz and Jeremy.
No.
This isn't going to happen this way.
I stood up, wiped the tears from my face, and turned around to look at Sabas' back.
"Kimora Synthos Asmarado Wim!!" I screamed, as I cast the spell of harm on Sabas. He froze in place, but then began jerking around as he fell to the floor. "Jeremy, run to the woods! I don't want you-"
The breath got knocked out of me as I flew 10 feet back and hit the ground. When I stood up, there was a tan scaled dragon standing in an attack form. Before I had the chance to morph, a red scaled dragon crashed into Sabas and they began wresting on the ground.
Raz but into Sabas' neck, but only to receive a tail whip to the stomach. Boys, boys, boys... don't they know that magic is much more harmful?
I quickly morphed into my white scaled dragon, and cast a storm spell, just so that it would be harder for Sabas to preform air attacks, even if he isn't exactly a skilled flyer. When it began raining, I dived in and pulled Raz away from Sabas right before he bit into Raz's jugular, which could've been fatal.
"This isn't going according to plan!" Raz yelled to me over a roar of thunder.
"I never expected it to!" I yelled back. "now let's end this before one of us gets seriously hurt!"
"fulgur cum una manu mea!" I screamed out, casting another spell. A single blast of lighting struck down and hit Sabas, electrifying him to the bones. I could hear his scales rattling as he screamed out in pain. "Ut jinx aeternum esse apud vos modo, ut iterum numquam immutare!"
I could see Sabas shrink down, smaller and smaller until he reached his human form. When I could clearly see him laying on the ground, and changed into my human, as did Raz. I cleared the skies as well, letting the rain stop gradually until it was just a light sprinkle. Raz quickly walked over to Sabas, who was still on the ground.
"Where did you learn those spells? We were never taught them in our training.." I heard Raz whisper. I walked over and joined him by an unconscious Sabas. "That was dark magic.. where did you learn dark magic?"
"I guess I've always known.. those spells kind of just came to me." I answered truthfully. "He isn't dead is he?"
"No.. just unconscious."
"That last spell, I think I've done something horrible."
"Why?"
"I took away his ability to change into his dragon form."
"What!? I didn't even know it was possible to do that!"
"It is... and it just happened."
