Chapter Eleven ~ Nonbeliever
I walked up the steps to Jeremy's home, and opened the door. Jeremy was in the livingroom, sitting in the couch. I slowly walked over to him, not even noticing the small dragons and creatures on the tables and shelves across the room. As I say down next to him he looked up at me and smiled, but I think my emotion was written all over my face, because right away his frown disappeared and his brows pulled together.
"What's wrong Kira?" He asked. I winced at the name and looked down at the beige carpet below my feet.
"I need to go now." I said quietly. He switched off the television and turned his body towards me.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, this is goodbye." I said, tears threatening to escape my eyes. I closed my eyes and let the tears fall down my pale skin.
"Hey, it's okay. You can always come visit, and I can go visit you too." His hand wiped away the tears on my face and he wrapped his arms around me. I pushed him away and stood up.
"No. You can't see it can you? I'm not human Jeremy. I don't belong here. I never did." I said darkly. "He story I told you when I first came here.. It wasn't just some old legend that I read in a book. It's true. And I know this becuase.... Because I'm a Shamen." I said.
"You're joking right?" He chuckled. "You're not a Shamen. I've never seen you do one magical thing while you were here!" I turned around to see him standing up from the couch.
"You don't believe me? One out to the clearing, I want you to meet someone." I said, I grabbed his arm and almost dragged him outside, down the wooden steps, across the street, and into the trees. "Raziel!" I shouted, only to see him already coming towards us.
"Please tell me this isn't him?" Raz said. I felt my face turn red and I nodded. I released Jeremy from my grip and I took a step back and stood next to Raz.
"So this is your fiancé? He doesn't look like much..." Jeremy stated. Of course, Raz wasn't himself. He was in his human form, and he was tall and buff, but not exactly as buff as Tony looked. But Raz could easily beat Tony anyway.
"Yes. Raz, this is Jeremy; Jeremy, this is Raz." I introduced them to each other. "Raz, Jeremy doesn't believe in us." I stated with a smirk. I cared for Jeremy, but it annoyed me when he dissed on my world and said .it wasn't real because science couldn't prove it.
"So you don't believe that we aren't human, correct?" Raz said. Jeremy nodded, and stood his ground.
"The scientists around the world have not found any evidence of dragons, fairies, gnomes, etcetera etcetera... There is no proof, therefore, they do not exist." Jeremy stated.
"Well... Lets see if you believe that after we show you something." Raz said with a mischievous smile. I knew exactly where he was going with this, and I'm totally in.
