Chapter Seventeen ~ Explanation

As we walked towards Jeremy's house, the weather turned from bad to worse. They wouldn't send the warriors early would they? If anything, the bad weather would kepp them away, so if it rains we would probably have more of a delay.But hey, we have a few earth days to wait before tomorrow morning in the dragon realm.

We walked up the familiar white steps to Jeremy's house, and he allowed us inside to the living room to talk. Surprised, Raz looked at all of the small figurines and stared at me with a strange expression; i just shook my head at him and sat on the sofa next to him.

"So what is it that you wanted to tell me about being in danger?" Jeremy asked. I sighed, ready to explain everything. When i say everything, I mean everything; about how I love him, about how it is forbidden, all the rules, etcetera etcetera.

"Okay, so let me start off by saying that a dragon falling on love with any creature other than a dragon is forbidden. I broke that rule, because I fell in love with you." He started to say something, but I held my hand up to silence him and to let me finish speaking.

"When Jazix, another dragon, told me she was my mother, it was a big surprise. She is part of what is called The Elder Dragons which is the superior older dragons with more experience. She was a few generations before me, and She became an elder. An elder is not allowed to mate, much less if they are female. Females are a very rare offspring, they only occur every thousand year or so. But if an elder gives to an egg, then there is a very rare chance for it to be a dark dragon." I explained.

"I am Jazix's offspring, and I am a dark dragon, but only half way. My other half, if what dragons call the soul full of hope. The soul full of hope, has only a one in a million chance of happening. It has only occurred once before, and that was in the time of when dragons ruled the human world. But to have a soul of hope, and a heart of darkness has never before happened.

"When this does happen, the evil and the good are always fighting. Everyone is frightened, because they fear something is different about me. But when I met you, you treated me very nicely. Since I had fallen in love with you, the eldest dragon Lythe, decided to send out a warrior. But he sent out no ordinary warrior.

"Lythe has sent out Sabas. He is the greatest tracker that has ever been hatched, and he has the marks of experience. When a dragon reaches a certain age, they earn their markings. And their markings choose their destiny for them. It's basically like an enlightenment, but for dragons. Everything becomes clearer, and you know who you are supposed to be." I finished. Raz was looking at me with hope in his features. Maybe this all can work out?

"That's.. Thats interesting. I still don't quite understand. They are coming to kill me because you fell in love with me?" Jeremy asked.

"Yes, and because you know what we are." Raz replied to him, and I nodded agreeing with him.

"When you were staying here, you talked about hypnosis quite a lot . Why don't you just hypnotize me?" My eyes widened at the thought of hypnotizing him, and I shook my head.

"No. I can't do that." I said.

"Actually, you've studied it. Why can't you?" Raz asked me. I looked at him with disbelief, if I had to hypnotize him I may as well hypnotize myself too.

"Because if I do, he can't remember anything. I would have to basically erase his memory about us, and I don't really want to do that."

"Oh. I don't want that either, I want to remember everything about you." Jeremy looked at me and smiled, and I could feel my checks get hot. Does this boy have any idea what he can do to me? It's not fair, because he obviously knows that I love him now, and he doesn't feel the same way at all.

"Then what are we going to do?" Raz thought out loud, and he was completely right. If we can't think of anything in a couple days, then I will be forced to either watch the person I love die, or be forced to erase his memory to never even remember me at all. I would much rather do the second one, but I'm hoping it won't ever need to come to that.
