POEM #35: ORBIT

Behold, two lovers in their rendezvous,
Bound by yearning and burning secrets.
Folks may lose each other - a sweet agony,
Yet lovers move closer - a time lapse in gravity.

Her sturdy stare shows what's shining within,
His stance, a testament to his blazing heart.
No life that's lost could bring them to tase,
Their vows promised, kept in a lavender haze.

Now, love is eternal, no fruit of barren glass,
A thriving, pumping force within the self.
It rules the world, brings queens to their knees,
A feeling that does not end, an effortless ease.
