POEM #43: REVERIE
Do wander in places where nights don't end,
Chase the dawn like a traveler, wanting thrill.
Each route a knot, each trail a beating flight,
Tell me of the days, show me all your spills.
The maddening words are unspoken and lost,
Bridges built by a knight in shimmering armor.
Forge your reckless ways and watch it smolder,
Look straight ahead; not over your shoulder.
Carve a kiss: cast bewitching spells you know,
Drink from dirty wells and slowly walk away.
Wear your scars, like you did a long time ago,
And watch the moments slip, for you shall pay.
