POEM #46: SPECTATOR

Covered face, weeps unseen -
A caricature of who you once had been.
Spectral feathers, glittering bright,
Clutching a flower, blinding delight.

In the cities, behind the dusk,
The night incites its rightful way.
The garden - our greatest haven,
Grows in all shades of timber gray.

No sea has parted as much as we did,
Given the weight of your hooded eyes,
Thus, I know the emptiness that comes,
With having to leave the Paradise.
