POEM #31: BESTOWED
Love, love, love — a light wrapped in solace,
It's a storm that shines the brighest, no malice.
It twists and turns, sometimes it burns,
There is no deceit, only the wanted returns.
Love, love, love — patiently churning out hope,
A scope so wide, a slippery slope.
It asks for all, humming, snapping too soon,
Dancing on eternal flame, under the moon.
Love, love, love — swinging by the wind,
Weary shields of armor, strangely pinned.
It brings us close, every touch so tender,
A growing star, Earth's greatest wonder.
