"Allie?"
"Where are you?"
"Where are you?"
"I'm in Lakewood Park, coming to get you."
"Okay I'm at 27 Baker Drive."
"Who's there?"
"No one, the husband and wife went out to dinner and their son is at his friend's house."
"What's the son's name?"
"Hal? Herbert? Hank?"
"Last name?"
"Wright. Why?"
"Crap I have to get you out of there."
"I know. Now get me out of here."
"On my way."
I hang up the phone call with Autumn and walk out of the heavily wooded park. I trip on a few sticks and roots but continue walking towards Hunter Wright's house. Why does this have to be such a small world? My head starts throbbing along with my arm. I walk past Lakewood Lake and go out the other side of the park. I finally appear in front of 27 Baker Drive and take out my phone to call Autumn. The house was white and the front light was on. There was one light on so I assumed that was Autumn's. I dial the number she called me from earlier.
"Hey I'm outside."
"Front door is unlocked. Be quiet because the boy just came home with a friend and are in the first room on the right. The door opposite is the one I'm in." She whispers.
"Okay I'm coming." I gulp down my nerves.
I walk up to the door and quietly start to open it. I manage to close it without making much commotion. I saw the staircase and quickly tiptoed up the stairs. I held my hands up to know my lefts and rights and quietly opened the door on the left.
I immediately am engulfed with a hug from my favorite cousin. I hug her back and then broke away too look at her. She was just as beautiful as she was when I saw her a couple months back. Her brown hair was no longer straight like it was when I last saw her. Her light brown hair had these beautiful waves and it went down to her waist. She looked so much like Mae but with just lighter hair and more hazel eyes.
"Allie I missed you." She cries and pulls me into another hug.
"Oh Autumn you look so much older than you looked a few months back." I hug her again with one arm.
"Allie, what happened to your arm?" She looks at me with concern.
"Oh it's nothing." I weakly smile.
"Is this the accident you were talking about?!" She practically yells.
"Autumn we need to get out of here..."
"Sure, I packed a bag, just let me get my stuff and my new phone! Did I tell you I get a new phone from the Wrights? It's fantabulous-"
"Autumn come on."
"Okay."
Autumn picks up her backpack and I pick up mine but throw mine at her so I can check if the coast is clear outside the door. I knew we should have taken the window because as soon as I opened the door, Hunter opened his.
We stood there frozen for a good period of time just staring.
"Hey Jase? Go ahead and start the movie I'll be down in a sec." Hunter yells down his staircase and grasps my waist. Before I know it I'm locked in Hunter's room with no self protection. Autumn is locked out of the room, I'm locked in with a mad man and an entirely broken arm.
