Tony, are you kidding?""It's not my fault Shakespeare in the Park leaves scorch marks like this whenever he goes home!" Tony exclaimed. "Just throw some water on it, and it'll be fine."
You stared down at the strange circular marking. Thor certainly knew how to make an exit. You shook your head. "I'll do you one better."
You thrust your hand out at the mark, narrowing your eyes at it. The grass around it began to sprout up and bend, covering the burn mark like a blanket. You sighed, admiring your handiwork.
"Not bad," he said. You rolled your eyes at him.
"Not bad," you repeated. "I'd like to see you try it."
"Heads up!" someone yelled. You looked up to see a large boulder hurtling towards the pair of you. You lifted your hands immediately and it slowed down. When it stopped, you heard a girly, high-pitched scream. You turned and looked at Tony.
He quickly cleared his throat and averted his gaze, trying to pretend he hadn't made that sound. "Way to be a hero," you told him. He made a face.
Steve ran over, panting. "Sorry about that, (Y/N). Falcon and I are moving some rocks. But he didn't exactly catch this one."
"Jeez, Steve, how hard are you throwing them?" you asked.
He shrugged. "It's the quickest way to move them."
"Need some help?"
"Oh, no, that's okay. We've almost got them all."
You raised an eyebrow at him. "Remind me how Falcon missed this boulder?" He cleared his throat.
"All right, so we've been at it for a few hours. We're almost done."
"Steve, quit trying to be a gentleman about it. I can handle a few rocks. Where am I taking it?"
He sighed and led the way. A stream about 300 yards away had a variety of rocks in it, obstructing the water flow.
"We've been moving them to the opposite bank," he explained, gesturing over to where Falcon was circling. You looked around. About a fourth of the river was clear of the rocks.
"And you've been at this for hours?" you asked. He nodded.
You chuckled softly and tossed the rock over to where the others were. You whistled and waved Falcon down.
"Take a break," you told him. He nodded gratefully, wiping some sweat off his brow. You rolled your shoulders and took a deep breath.
The water started vibrating, and then rocks of all sizes began to shoot out into the sky, waiting for you to tell them where to go. You looked at them, trying to figure out the best way to do this.
"All right. We need the big boulders over there, obviously," you said, making the largest of the rocks tumble into the large pile the boys had started.
"A few medium sized ones can go on the water's edge, and make a little stepping stone path in case someone needs to get across," you muttered, neatly arranging them to fulfill those expectations.
"And then the little pebbles need to go back on the bottom to purify the water." You nodded and smiled to yourself, turning back to look at the two dumbfounded boys.
"You're welcome," you said as you headed back up to the Tower.
Falcon looked at Steve. "Did you know she could do that?"
He flushed slightly. "Well, I...yeah. Kinda. I didn't know it would be that easy, but--"
"You're an idiot."
