Woah Baby•Matt Murdock

There wasn't anything else you wanted to do right now. You were in paradise. Your head rested on Matt's chest and his arm was wrapped securely around your waist. Your legs were intertwined with Matt's and your arm was wrapped around his waist. Matt was playing with your hair, making small little braids. It was routine to do this every morning before you two even thought of getting out of bed. Just some basic cuddle time.

You were so deep in thought that you didn't hear someone knocking on the door. Matt patted your back, "Someone's knocking at the door."

You shrugged, "Let them knock."

Matt chuckled, kissing your forehead. "It's Karen."

You sighed, sitting up. You got off the bed and put your robe on. "I'm gonna go see what she wants." You said, making your way over to the door.

Karen was about to knock again when you opened the door. The first thing your eyes landed on was the baby in her arms, also a giant bag with baby stuff. "Karen, is this your baby?" You asked, letting her in.

Karen's eyes sent wide, she shook her head. "No, no. She's my niece. I'm supposed to be babysitting her."

You nodded, walking closer to Karen and you patted the baby's head. "Hey there." You said, with a smile. "How old is she?"

"Seven months," Karen asked, right then Matt entered the room, fully clothed. You looked down at your attire, just a red robe and white bunny slippers. Nothing else.

"Woah, a baby," Matt said as he stood next to you.

"Yes, Matt. A baby," Karen said, bouncing the child in her hand.

"What's her name?" Matt asked.

"Madeline, but just call she responds to Maddie also," Karen told you two.

You finally decided to ask the lingering unasked question, "Karen, why are you here?"

Karen sighed, "I need you two to take care of her for a couple of hours."

"What?" You asked, you taking care of a baby. You know nothing about babies.

"Please, [Name], Matt," Karen begged. " I have a date."

"With who?" You immediately asked.

"Foggy," she mumbled, causing you to grin. Matt just smiled slightly, glad that his buddy had made a move on Karen.

"I knew it!" You yelled which caused Maddie to jump and start crying. "Oh, no! I made the baby cry. Make it stop, Karen."

Karen placed the baby bag down and rocked Maddie. "Hush Maddie." She whispered and Maddie's cries ceased. "Guys, please. I won't ever ask for anything again."

Matt sighed, "Alright, alright. You enjoy your date."

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Karen smiled wide, handing Maddie to Matt and running out the door.

"I guess we're babysitting." You said, closing the door after Karen.

"It's not that hard," Matt said, rocking Maddie who was sucking on her thumb.
