'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars

I'm gonna give you my heart

'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars

'Cause you light up the path

'Okay. Deep breath, Maximoff. You can do this.' Pietro attempted to calm his racing heart as he paced outside her door, with a bouquet of flowers gripped tightly in his palm.

His nerves caused him to zoom back to his room, having decided not to go through with his plan. Then he was back at her door.

He gave a loud groan and let his head fall against the wall with a small 'thunk.' His hands fell to his sides as he tried to gather his courage.

'Why is this so hard?' He let out a loud sigh and turned around, pressing his back into the wall and slowly sliding into a sitting position.

When he closed his eyes he saw her face. Beautiful (e/c) eyes, (h/l) (h/c) hair, and that sweet smile that lit up her face.

How had he, Pietro Maximoff, managed to fall for the one girl that would probably never give him a second glance?

Simple.

She was his shining star.

When he first joined the Avengers he still struggle with his Kleptomania. It was an itch he couldn't help but scratch. He couldn't go a day with stealing at least one thing.

Then she came along. She was mutant, like him, but her powers were more visual than his. Her mutation allowed her to manipulate light.

Fury had found her and brought her into the Avengers initiative. What Fury didn't know is that her joining the Avengers gave Pietro a distraction from his little habit.

He would talk to her. They quickly became close friends. Whenever he felt the need to steal something he would find her.

She had learned of his habit soon after joining and tried her best to keep his mind off of it. Little did she know, the speedy mutant was slowly falling in love with her.

She was his best friend and he had fallen for her. So what if she denied him? At least she would know how much he cared for her.

Pietro opened his eyes with a new determination burning in his heart. He loved her and nothing was going to stop him from admitting his feelings for her.

Not even himself.

I don't care, go on and tear me apart

I don't care if you do, ooh

'Cause in a sky, 'cause in a sky full of stars

I think I saw you

He knocked on the door as slow as he could manage with his nerves going haywire. The flowers were still gripped in his palm, which was sweating profusely.

Yuch. He Switched hands and hastily wiped his hand on his jeans.

After a few minutes he began to get antsy. He fiddled with the flowers and shuffled from foot to foot, glancing nervously up and down the hall.

What if she had gone somewhere?

The sound of the door opening brought him back to reality. His eyes fell on the (h/c) girl and his throat went dry.

She was clad in a pair of fuzzy pajama shorts and a tank top sporting a image of two men and a car from a T.V. show she frequently watched.

She rubbed her eye with the back of her hand and yawned. He woke her up. He mentally kicked himself for not checking the time before knocking.
