It was a hot afternoon in the city. There were many cars beeping their horns as their drivers waited impatiently for the light to go green. Many people had the same look on their faces; "I want to get to my destination and out of this heat as soon as possible."

Wanda had promised you that you and she would have fun. You needed a vacation from your horrid job and right now, you were on your way to it. It was a surprise though of course and Wanda was doing quite well about being secretive about it. You both rented a car , much to your disliking, and were on a short road trip to a different city.

This short trip was all Wanda's idea and you had not seen her this excited in a long time. You were captivated by her simple charm and agreed to go. Sadly, your day was not so appealing as you both were stuck in traffic.

"I'm sure we'll be out of this traffic soon." Wanda said as she tried to look as far ahead as she could. She had volunteered to drive because she said she felt it was her responsibility to do so because she planned your little getaway.

"This traffic is not going away quickly...we'll never get to....." You sighed. "Where are we going?" you asked for the millionth time.

Wanda pinched your nose lightly while shaking her head. "You really can't handle not knowing can you?" she said in her thick Sokovian accent. She then laughed.

"Will you tell me if I said yes?" you said hopefully.

"Its. A. Secret." she said while tapping your nose at each word. You slouched in your seat like a child. You just wanted to know!

You looked at the time on the car, then leaned against your window to see if you were anywhere near freedom. All you saw was a road heading the other way. "Will you at least tell me how much farther?" you looked to her.

Wanda held on to the steering wheel a little tighter. Even she was getting restless at the standstill traffic. "Not that far. Just a block or two more."

You put your fingers on your temple and placed your arm on the window ledge for support. "Maybe we should walk."

Wanda looked at you before smiling and signalling to turn left.

"Wait, what are you doing?" you asked.

"Parking." she said simply as she parked in front of a dollar store.

"You can't park here." you said as you tried not to imagine how expensive it would be to bail out the rental car you had gotten just for this occasion. You looked around. It was a simple and quiet town. Minus the traffic, the streets were quite tidy. You noticed that Wanda was talking to one of the residents. Probably asking for directions.

You sighed and fondly stared at her. She had her dark hair braided to the side which you thought was quite attractive. You loved and hated how she could look so beautiful with minimum effort. You loved her for more than her looks but that didn't mean you couldn't admire her when you had the chance.

"Relax, Y/N." Wanda said as she walked to you before eagerly taking your hand. "The woman I just talked to owns the store and she said it was fine to park there."

You raised your eyebrow. "Out of her own free will or..." This comment earned you a punch on your upper arm. She was getting stronger with the training she got from work.
