C/n: Choice Name
F/a: Favorite Animal
F/f: Favorite Food
F/d: Favorite drinkI count the ways I let you down
On my fingers and toes but I'm running out
Clever words can't help me now
I grip you tight but you're slipping out"I can't take it anymore. You never listen. I tell you to stop drinking and you drink even more. I tell you to talk to me and you become even more quiet. I'm worried C/n, I'm worried and I don't want to do it anymore"
It was dark. The moon pouring into the window behind you giving just enough lighting to see the tears running down your red cheeks. C/n just stood and watched as the tears slid down and created their wet, salty paths.
"I'm sorry okay! I'm scared that I'm going to lose you and-" C/n said in hopes that he can get you to back into his grasps. He hoped to not lose you but it was already happening. His efforts were cut of by you.
"No. Don't do that. Don't go and try to get me to come back and make it seem like you're going to put me back together when we both know all you're going to do is break me even more. I'm not going to do it. You already let me down. It's too late."
With those words you walked to the door of your shared apartment and walked out slamming the door in the process. The impact knocked a picture of you and C/n at a carnival onto the ground where it shattered.
And I remember your eyes were so bright
When I first I met you, so in love that night
And now I'm kissing your tears goodnight
And I can't take it, you're even perfect when you cryC/n walked into the shards of glass, not caring if the glass dug into the tissue of his/her bare feet. He/She reached down to dig the beautiful picture out of the broken pieces of glass and walked away with it in hand.
He/She remembered that moment. It was when C/n insisted on taking you to the new carnival in town. It was day he/she fell in love with you. So full of love that day. You were ecstatic. Happiness shone in your eyes and you face crinkled in the perfect way when you laughed at C/n's cheesy jokes and pickup lines. The way you hugged the huge stuffed f/a when C/n spent $30 trying to win it for you. It made him/her so happy.
Knowing C/n was the reason you were outside crying, alone broke him/her. Happiness was the only thing C/n should be filling you with but it was currently the opposite. Seeing you sad broke him/her down. And the super sad thing was that you were perfect all the time, even when you cried.
Beautiful goodbye, bye bye, bye bye
It's dripping from your eyes (bye bye, bye bye),
Your beautiful goodbye (bye bye, bye bye)
It's dripping from your eyes (bye bye, bye bye), oh yeah"Goodbye" C/n whispered
It was already said, even though it wasn't spoken. You tears said it all. It was the beautiful goodbye.
When did the rain become a storm
When did the clouds begin to form
Yeah we got knocked off course by a natural force
And well, we'll be swimming when it's goneThe diner booth held many memories and secrets for you. It was where you went when C/n was out doing whatever. It was where you sat alone and ate f/f and drank f/d alone. The red leather rubbed against you skin as you thought of where you went wrong.
"Would you like the usual Sweetie?" the waitress, Betsy asked. She was and old lady, about sixty. She had Green eyes that held the world from her experiences. Her salt and pepper hair was always pinned up and bun. She was sweet and always talked to you and listened even if you rambled on and on.
"Sure Betsy" you replied in a monotone voice, lowering your eyes so she didn't see your tears.
She did an understanding nod but you didn't notice.
While waiting for your food you wondered where it all went wrong. You never had major problems until a few weeks ago. You wondered how the rain turned into a storm. The natural force drowning you in tears and struggles.
All the pain you try to hide
Shows through your mascara lines as they stream down from your eyes
And let 'em go, let 'em fly
Holding back won't turn back time
Believe me, I've tried"Darling you have to let your tears go" your mind goes back to when C/n was comforting you after your parents don't approve of your relationship.
"I'm not crying. It's jut raining really hard onto my face" you replied wanting to seem big and strong but you looked quite the opposite. C/n's hoodie sweatpants made you look tiny. Especially when you buried your face into the hoodie.
C/n emit a sad chuckle due to your comment
Rain was pounding onto your windows. Thunder bellowed into the dark and cloudy night. Wind flew into the flat through the small cracks in the doors and walls but that didn't make a shiver run down you back."I see your mascara running down your face love. It's okay. They don't have to understand (Andy Black AF). Just let it go"
"But they've always approved of my relationships and been supportive and nice about it but now they're practically disowning me"
"I know darling, I know. Don't hold onto the past and what they thought then and now. It doesn't matter. As long as you know that I love you. Even if everything is made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am."
"I love you too"
You remembered when you had good times but now they were gone as your tears said their beautiful goodbye.
Beautiful goodbye (bye bye, bye bye), oh yeah
It's dripping from your eyes (bye bye, bye bye),
Your beautiful goodbye (bye bye, bye bye), whoa
It's dripping from your eyes (bye bye, bye bye), yeah yeah
