•No Pain, No Gain~Steve

"I got this! Just one quick pull!" you said happily before you felt the palm of your hand burn from the friction of utterly failing to open a jar. It was in that moment, you decided there was only one thing left to do.

You wanted to get in shape. You wanted to be able to lift things without catching your breath so frequently. You wanted to experience what it was like to have "runner's high. You wanted to be able to catch up to Steve when he went jogging. You wanted to be able to open this goddamn jar containing food you wanted to really eat.

You pouted at the jar that was the only obstacle between you and your food. You heard Steve laugh as he walked in the kitchen and took the jar and easily opened it. He gave you a small smile but you pouted even more. "What's wrong, Y/N?" Steve asked.

"I could have opened it..." You said sadly as you stared at the jar. 

"I could hear your frustration in the gym, Y/N." Steve laughed.

You sulked a little more before your eyes widened at sudden realization. You looked up to Steve.

"Help me get into better shape!" you begged Steve. "Come on, I'm ready for this!"

Steve clapped his hands as both of you finish stretching.

"Alright, Y/N. Let's start with something easy. 20 push ups." Steve said before dropping to the floor and finishing the push ups with no effort at all. As he got up, he said "Don't worry if its a little hard. Just take it slow. How many have you done?"

"Zero."

"What?"

"I can't. I can't feel my arms!' you blurted out with such dismay. You concentrated and put all your effort into your arms before trying again. You heard Steve laugh slightly as you assumed he was trying to be nice.

"I...can...do...this!" you shouted.

You didn't budge. It was in that moment that you heard Steve laugh. Like uncontrollable laughter. You sat up on the floor and rubbed your arms. Then you felt a soft kiss on your forehead.

"You think I'm pathetic."

"No, that was just adorable."
