Tae came back really late that night. He managed to get the house clean though. All he had to do was mop the kitchen floor and take out the trash. Then he'd be able to show Kookie.
Upon entering their bedroom, Tae saw Jung Kook curled up in the blankets.
He was facing the other way, so Tae Hyung walked over to the bed.
He leaned over Kookie and placed a kiss on his cheek, feeling the tears on the younger's skin.
Then Tae glanced over to Jung's hands.
Shit. He took the envelope and stared at it for a minute, then put it on the nightstand.
He needed a shower...then he'd decide what to do with the pictures.
It was eleven o'clock before Tae Hyung actually went to sleep. He woke Kookie up when he laid down, but he was so lost in thought he didn't notice.
After Tae was officially sleeping, Jung reached over and moved a lock of wet hair off his hyung's forehead.
Where have you been?, Kookie thought. Jung sat up and his hands immediately shot to his head. Another raging headache.
Slowly, he stood up and stretched. He needed a shower too. He fell asleep before he could bring himself to take one.
Kookie reached over for his phone and saw the envelope.
Forget it Jung Kook. It was in the past. And Tae said he couldn't forgive Min-hyung for....whatever he did.
Jung Kook grabbed his phone and made his way towards the bathroom.
When Jung Kook came back to bed, Tae Hyung rolled over and put his arms around the younger.
Kookie didn't decline the gesture, but he was thinking about Tae and Yoon Gi. Did they ever do this? How far did they actually go?
"Kookie," Tae mumbled in his ear, "I'm sorry."
"Get some sleep, Tae. You've been up for almost a full day," Jung let his palm rest on Tae's cheek.
"I shouldn't have kept them," the older boy turned his head and kissed the younger's hand.
"It's fine. I trust you when you say that you don't love him anymore."
Tae Hyung's eyes opened and he smiled, "I love you."
"I love you too," Jung smiled, somehow forgetting about all the bad stuff in his mind.
Kookie made a little pouting noise then rolled to his side and put his arms around Tae.
"Jimin," Jung Kook ran over to his hyung, who was talking to Ho Seok.
"Hey Kookie," Jimin smiled and put his arm around the younger's shoulders.
Jung Kook was happy to see that Park's smile had returned, "Min-hyung wanted us to have lunch with him today. He said Ho Seok hyung could come to," Kookie looked to Ji Min's boyfriend.
"Hey, Ji Min," Tae finally made his way to them, "Stop stealing Kookie from me," he pouted.
Jung reached out and grabbed Tae's hand after noticing the jealousy flash through his eyes.
"We'll be there Kookie," Jimin nodded to the youngest of them after he consulted Ho Seok.
"Be where?," Tae asked.
Jung Kook looked to him and bit his lip, "I knew I forgot something."
Jimin's arm fell from his shoulders, "I'll see you guys in class," he smiled weakly before he and Ho Seok walked away.
"Kookie, where are you going?," Tae reached over and grabbed Jung's other hand.
"Well...I passed Min-hyung yesterday....on my way home. And he asked us to go to lunch with him today."
"You talked to Yoon Gi yesterday?," Tae Hyung's eyes suddenly narrowed and he seemed angry.
"Yeah. He was out walking around...I guess. I just bumped into him," Jung clarified, "But, his last day here is tomorrow so I just thought we could all get together."
Tae hung his head and stepped closer to Jung Kook, "I don't know..."
"Tae?," Kookie let go of his hyung's hand to lift his head up. The younger looked around them at all the people in the hall, then started to pull Tae Hyung towards the place they called The Abandoned Classroom.
Kookie shut the door behind them and locked it. Tae had already taken a seat on top of a desk and was waiting for Jung to yell at him...for some reason.
"Tae, we don't have to go-"
"No, it's not that. I don't care about going. It's just...what you said happened between you and Yoon Gi yesterday....that's how it went on the day he asked me to go out with him."
Jung Kook walked over to him and stood between his knees, "Tell me what happened with you guys."
"No, you don't want to know about it. It's clear that you don't like talking about it," he referenced the pictures Kookie found.
"Tae, it's obvious that you're worried about something," Kookie put his arms around Tae Hyung's neck.
It went silent for a few seconds, then the older boy sighed, "Fine," he took a deep breath and started, "Yoon Gi...stayed over at my house one night. At this point we'd been secretly dating for a couple months."
Kookie gave him a small smile when he stopped, telling him it was okay to continue.
"Well, it was also the night my dad found out that I was gay. Instead of getting mad, though, he just left. I felt like he was abandoning me like mom did and Yoon Gi was there to.....comfort me."
The tone of Tae Hyung's voice implied what Kookie had been fearing, "So did you..."
"No," he shook his head, "I almost did, but changed my mind at the last second. Yoon Gi kept trying though, even after I told him to stop. Eventually I just threw him out of the house and broke up with him."
"You dealt with all of that by yourself, too, didn't you?," Kookie brought one hand up to Tae's hair and he played with his bangs for a couple seconds, "Why?"
"Because...I was ashamed of myself for a while. Mostly because my dad was disappointed," he paused and then a smile spread across his lips, "but then I fell for you."
Jung Kook lightly laughed and leaned forward, "I love you, Tae. No matter how screwed up you are," he laughed before he even finished.
Tae Hyung laughed with him and wrapped his arms around the younger, "I love you, too."
