As Tae Hyung slept, Jung Kook was doing homework. The current math unit was one he disliked and had trouble in, but Tae said he was doing fine with it.
I'm sure hyung wouldn't mind if I just got some help from his worksheet, Kookie thought as he glanced over to Tae.
Slowly he crawled across the floor to Tae Hyung's back pack and searched through it for his math folder. Of course, Jung wasn't sure if Tae had even used the folder since he gave it to him, but he should check anyway.
There you are. Kookie pulled it from the bag and started to open it, but something fell out. He picked it up and dropped the folder simultaneously.
No....it can be. This isn't.....he would never keep this a secret. Tae wouldn't.....he just..
Kookie pulled another sheet from Tae's math folder and matched up the handwriting.
It was exactly the same. Why didn't he see this before? How could he be so stupid?
This envelope had Kookie on the front and in the top corner My last message was written.
Of course, Jung thought as he fell back on his butt, this all started when Hyung became depressed.
Kookie turned around just in enough time to see Tae Hyung roll over in his sleep. He was probably looking for something to cuddle up next to, like normal. Jung suddenly remembered all the times he woke up with Tae's arm around his waist.
He smiled then looked back to his hyung's folder. He cleaned up his mess, but kept the letter, wanting to read it so badly.
Jung crawled back to his spot and popped the envelope open and pulled out the letter. He only skimmed over it, but got the jist of it.
The person writing to him was Tae Hyung, it had been all along. Tae had developed feelings for him and, since his depression kicked in, he has wanted nothing more than to end his life. But the last line basically said Jung Kook kept him alive on a daily basis, just by being near Tae Hyung.
And it wasn't finished. He had already started his apologies, but Kookie didn't want to read his hyung's regrets. He wouldn't let Tae do something so horrible anyway.
Kookie threw the letter down and climbed up on to the bed, moving to sit beside Tae. He shook him violently and started yelling, "Get up!"
After a few screams, Tae furrowed his brow and rubbed his eyes. When he noticed Kookie was angry he sat up, "What's wrong?"
"Why wouldn't you tell me?!," Jung pushed his shoulder repeatedly, just trying to get some of the frustration out.
"Tell you what?," Tae finally grabbed the maknae's arms and sat up on his knees as well.
"That it was you?! That you love me?! That you're on the verge of scuicide?!"
Tae's eyes widened and he relaxed, realizing he'd been caught, "You....Kookie I'm sorry."
"No you can't be sorry," Jung hit his hyung's arm once for every word and the older boy just allowed it to happen.
Jung Kook was crying now, but his anger was more the cause than sadness. Why did Tae do this to him? Why wouldn't he just say that he wanted to be with him?
Why was he crying like this now? He loved Tae Hyung, that he knew, but he always considered it brotherly love. He must have been wrong. He never cries like this.
"Never hide stuff like this from me!," Jung took a deep breath in, hoping to stop his tears, but it didn't work.
Tae Hyung licked his lips then reached out, grabbing Jung's shoulders.
They made eye contact for a few seconds then Tae started to tear up, so he pulled Kookie towards him.
Jung let his forehead rest on his hyung's chest and he just let his tears go, "You can't leave me hyung!"
Kookie's sudden outburst shook his heart and made his stomach tie up in knots.
"I'm sorry Kookie," Tae wrapped his arms around the younger, "I'm so sorry."

Jung Kook cried for an hour, only at the mere thought of losing Tae Hyung.
Tae held him through all of it and his shirt soaked up most of the tears. The others fell down to his jeans.
Kookie cried himself to sleep, but even after, Tae Hyung didn't leave his side for a time period longer than a trip to the bathroom.
While Jung slept beside him, Tae was texting Ji Min. He told him what happened and then what he was thinking of doing when he got home; that being ending it all.
Ji Min tried to convince him, but he said it didn't matter if Jung Kook didn't love him.
At about that time the younger rolled over, cuddling Tae Hyung's side.
He put his phone away and let his fingers brush across Jung's cheek.
"Kookie, wake up. You'll be up all night if you don't," he softly called to him.
Kookie was a light sleeper, this he knew, so it wasn't long before the younger's eyes fluttered open.
"Tae, my head hurts," he mumbled into his elder's chest.
"Disrespectful," Tae Hyung joked.
"You owe me," Kookie lifted his fist and lightly let it fall back to Tae's ribs.
"Do you want something to eat or drink?"
"No, I want to talk to you," he pushed himself up, his oversized shirt letting his collarbone become visible.
Tae Hyung sat up as well and let his palm rest on Jung's cheek, "One thing, before I die-"
"You're not going to die," Kookie leaned into his hyung's hand, "I won't let you."
"Kookie, please," Tae whispered as he leaned closer to him, "Just let me tell you."
"Go ahead," Jung smiled as best he could.
Tae Hyung's eyes traveled over the maknae's face and then he smirked, "You look better up close."
"Hyung-"
"I know," Tae hung his head for a small moment then brought himself to look up again, "Kookie.......I love you."
Jung smiled then brought his arms up to wrap around Tae's neck, "I love you too."
Immediately, Tae Hyung lost all ability to speak. He wasn't expecting those words to come from Jung's pretty lips.
Kookie pulled him closer and hugged him, properly this time; with no tears.
TaeTae was stiff for a couple seconds then he put his arms around the younger's small frame. What was this feeling? It'd been so long he almost forgot the joy of.....relief. He was relieved.
"You.....love me?," he gripped Jung's shirt and pulled him closer, wanting the kid to literally sit in his lap.
"I do. I didn't know myself until I started crying. You know how I am. I don't cry unless it's a really bad situation."
"Yeah Kookie," Tae smiled, "I know." He felt happy, just like that. Then those dark and horrid thoughts crept back into his mind. He doesn't love you, this one stood out to him.
Jung Kook noticed his hyung start to pull away from him and he didn't want that, so he moved closer to Tae, but that did nothing.
Tae Hyung pushed Kookie away and the younger could see his tears. He turned his head to the side and wiped his eyes.
"Why are doing this?," Jung teared up again, "Don't push me away-"
"It doesn't matter, Kookie. This isn't what you want....I'm not," he shook his head, hiding his eyes as the tears wouldn't stop.
"What I want?," the younger placed his hand on Tae's cheek and made him look up, "Hyung, what I want is for you to talk to me! I want you tell me what's going on with you! I want you to hold me like you always do! All I want is for you to be happy!"
Tae's hands fidgeted, as if he were about to reach out and grab the boy in front of him.
Then he licked his lips and swallowed all the spit in his mouth, "You don't love me. I can't be happy."
"Hyung," Kookie was about to rant again, but he just didn't think it would go through.
Actions speak louder than words, his mother always said. She mostly pertained this to his grades and empty promises, but this was bound to work.
Kookie took a deep breath in, then slowly leaned in towards Tae. The elder wasn't really tuned into the world, so he didn't try to pull back.
Jung hesitated when his lips were mere centimeters away from Tae Hyung's. He could feel the older boy's breath...which made him nervous. My first kiss, ran through his mind as he placed his lips against his hyung's.
