My first kiss, ran through his mind as he placed his lips against his hyung's.
Tae Hyung's brain rewired and connected back to the world when he felt Kookie sloppily kissing him. Though he really didn't care because he knew Jung was innocent.
This time he let his hands reach out and grab the kid's hips. He realized he would have to lead him in this if it was seriously happening.
Jung Kook was shaking, nervous and angry emotions swirling around in his heart and mind. In his heart though, there was an extra feeling. It was warm and fuzzy, something he hadn't felt before, and Tae's hands on his body made it spread throughout him.
Jung pulled away, his fist on Tae Hyung's chest as he caught his breath. He wasn't used to that after all, "I....want you to....stay here with me."
"I can't, Kookie. You know why I'm like this in the first place. If I run, it'll just get worse," he shook his head.
"Hyung, please. I can't lose you," Jung leaned forward and rest his head on Tae's shoulder, "You have to be here. Without you we aren't a triangle; we're just a stupid line like everyone else. You make us different and we need that."
Tae Hyung let himself relax and he started to play with Jung's hair. After a long, silent time, he lightly laughed.
Kookie looked up, "What?"
"Nothing. I was just thinking that you need a haircut. It's getting longer again and you don't like that."
Jung Kook smiled and pushed Tae to lay down. He laid beside him and pulled his hyung's arm over his side, "Stay with me," he whispered.
Tae gripped Jung's shirt in his fist and moved closer to him, "I can't. He'll literally kill me."
"Forget him-"
"He'd kill me for that too," the older boy kissed his forehead and sighed, "Look, I love you, but what good are those words if I'm dead?"
"They mean something to me," Kookie responded, "It means that you don't want to leave me, right?"
"Yeah, but-"
"Then stay," Jung Kook placed his palm on Tae's cheek.
Again, there was another silent minute as Tae Hyung thought it through, then he lightly spoke, "Give me a good reason that I should."
"What?," Kookie whined, "Alright.......I can cook for you."
"Mm...not good enough, but pretty good," Tae smiled.
"Aw, hyung.....then," now it was Kookie's turn to think, "Uh...you can do everything you normally do, except with me by your side."
"Everything I normally do, huh?," he smirked, "What about the stuff I don't do?"
"If it's reasonable I'll do that stuff too," he rolled his eyes as he was pretty sure he knew what was on his hyung's, hormone-ridden mind.
"What goes under reasonable?"
"We could do this all day! Just say you'll stay here with me," Kookie cuddled into Tae's chest.
"I can't. My dad's relentless. He'd hurt you or your family and I don't want that to happen."
"My dad's here. He can deal with it. And if that doesn't work we can always call the cops. You have the bruises and medical records to show them proof, so they can't deny it."
Tae placed his lips on the top of Jung's head and sighed as he closed his eyes, "Do you think I'd be happier here?"
"I'd hope so," Jung smiled to himself.
Kookie looked up, seeing Tae's eyes closed, "Hyung, do you have any new ones?"
"Kookie-"
"Do you?," Jung Kook pulled himself up, out of Tae's embrace.
"It's not like you can reverse it or something," Tae shrugged.
Then Kookie remembered that Tae Hyung hadn't laid on his back for too long all day, "Where is it?"
"Kookie-"
"Hyung!," Jung Kook let his serious tone bleed through, "Where?"
Tae rolled his eyes and laid on his stomach, "Between my shoulder blades."
Kook moved up so that he could see it, then lifted his hyung's shirt. He didn't even get to his shoulders before he could see the outlines of another ginormous bruise.
His dad never held back. He was a go big or go home player. Tae always told Jung Kook that his father used both hands.
This time around it was clear that was the case.
"Sit up," Jung lightly pat Tae's head then got off the bed. He went to his bathroom and grabbed the first aid kit, quickly bringing it back to the bed.
He looked up to see Tae's naked upper body as his elder stared at the mattress.
He was sitting up on his knees in the center of the bed, his bruised and beaten back facing Jung.
Kookie felt his face heat up, but nevertheless went to sit behind his hyung.
"You can't let him keep doing this," the younger put his hands around Tae's neck.
He smiled to himself, "Just hurry up. It's cold in here."
Jung lightly laughed then opened up his kit.
Besides the bruise, there were medium sized cuts, which Jung was sure came from a pocket knife.
"Thanks Kookie," Tae Hyung suddenly spoke, probably to keep the pain from the sting of antiseptic hidden.
"I've done this a million times before," Jung shrugged, "I just wish you'd fight back."
"With what?"
"Authority," Kookie answered immediately, "Hyung, I hate seeing you hurt. It makes it worse that you won't go against your dad."
"Well, despite the beatings, he's the man who taught me everything I know. I mean, he named me, for Christ's sake."
Jung sighed, "I get that part, but I don't get why you just take it. No human should have to go through this,"Jung Kook laid his chin on Tae Hyung's shoulder and he looked to him, "especially not you."
The older boy lightly smiled then looked away, "At least you think so."
"Ji Min would too," Kookie went back to nursing, "but you refuse to tell him what's really going on."
"Jimin would just try to fight him and end up worse off than me," he let his dialect come through without realizing it.
"I guess," Kookie put more antiseptic on another cotton ball.
"Hey, Kookie," Tae looked over his shoulder, "You hate talking about this don't you?"
"Yeah," Jung nodded and kept his eyes off Tae's.
"Then let's stop. I'll stay with you and we won't have to mention it," he faced forward again.
Slowly, Jung Kook started to feel...cold. He put his hands on Tae Hyung's shoulders and slightly moved to the side of his hyung.
Tae looked at him and noticed him leaning in. He smirked and put his arm around Jung Kook's waist. He pulled the younger around so that he sat in front of him.
"You'll really stay," Kookie grabbed his hyung's hands.
"Yeah," he looked down at the younger's lips, "I hate to admit it, but you're right," he leaned down and captured Kookie's lips.
The younger let go of Tae's hands and snaked his arms around Tae Hyung's neck.
Jung lasted about a minute longer than the last time before he pulled back.
Tae couldn't hold back his laugh and Kookie gave him a strange look, "What?"
"Don't hit me, I love you," Tae Hyung smirked, "but I am going to have to teach you how to kiss better."
"Tae!," he lightly smacked his hyung's arm.
