The two of them had moved to the living room, just so that they could watch a show.
Tae had moved the tv from his room into the sitting room, so it was possible now.
"What did you do with the broken one?," Kookie leaned against Tae Hyung's side.
"I threw it into the dumpster behind the ramen place," he said quickly, "With the owner's permission, of course."
"Uh-huh," Kookie smiled, "I take it that your dad's truck still works then."
"Yeah, it still runs," Tae ran his fingers through Kookie's hair.
They fell silent again and the ridiculous commercials were all the noise they had.
Tae let his hand rest on Jung Kook's shoulder then he sighed, "Do you want to stay home tomorrow?"
"We can't leave Ji Min hyung alone," Kookie pouted, "He's still our friend."
"I know, but I'm sure he'd understand once we told him we were moving everything over here."
"Oh...maybe," Kookie looked up to him, "I'll think about it."
"Okay," Tae smiled, "Thanks for all this Kookie."
"It's fine. I actually like being able to hug you whenever I want," Jung grinned.
Tae rolled his eyes and looked back to the tv, "I can't love you anymore than I already do, but I feel like I don't love you enough."
"Oh please," Kookie lightly hit Tae's chest, "You kicked your first boyfriend out of the house for me. I think you love me enough."
"No...you deserve the love of the world, Kookie," he turned a light pink shade.
"Well," Jung Kook moved to sit on Tae's lap, a leg on either side of the older boy's waist, "The universe needs to fall in love with you."
"I don't want pity love. I want yours," Tae wrapped his arms around the younger's torso.
Kookie kissed his hyung's head and smiled to himself, "You have it."

At eleven o'clock that night, Jung Kook decided that he didn't want to go to school in the morning.
Tae was already asleep, so he took the liberty to turn off the alarm himself.
He left Jimin a message telling him why they wouldn't be there, then turned off his phone in hopes of getting some sleep.
But when he turned over, his eyes landed on the picture frame of that photo...the one he found last time.
It was sitting on the shelf, just staring at him. The happiness Tae used to have.
He hasn't ever smiled like that with me, Kookie thought as he stared at Tae's face in the picture.
That photo was just a monument of what Kookie could never do. He couldn't ever make Tae as happy as Yoon Gi did.
Jung Kook got up and walked over to the shelf. He laid the picture face down then stared at the back of it for a while.
He walked back to the bed and crawled in.
Tae Hyung rolled over and breathed in.
"Sorry, Tae," Kookie whispered as he pulled the covers over his legs.
"It's fine," he put his arm over Jung Kook's waist, "You saved me from the nightmare."
Kookie grabbed Tae's forearm and held it tightly as he tried to keep his tears back.
"Kookie, are you okay?"
"No."
Tae sat up. The tone of the younger's voice was off. He pressed his hand to Jung's forehead, "Do you feel sick?"
It took Kookie forever to answer him, but when he did it was so vague, "It's a kind of sick."
"Kookie, tell me what's wrong," Tae put his hand on the younger's cheek, feeling a tear hit the tip of his middle finger.
"Me," he choked out, still trying not to cry.
Tae pulled the younger up and wrapped his arms around him, "There's nothing wrong with you."
"Yes there is," Jung Kook's muffled sobs were easy to hear in the silence of the night, "You don't love me like you loved Yoon Gi. You aren't as happy."
Tae sighed to himself, "Kookie, I told you that. It's better with you. All Yoon Gi wanted for a long time was sex. And I don't want that. You're exactly the opposite so I crave you."
"No, that's not right!," Jung Kook pushed away from him and wiped his cheeks, "I'm too different from him-"
"Kookie, why are you saying all of this!," Tae gripped his upper arms tightly and he looked away.
His eyes landed on the downturned photo and Tae's followed.
"Jung Kook, look at me," he prodded with a little shaking until Kookie turned back to him, "I will burn that stupid picture if it would make you happy."
"No, don't," Jung Kook wanted him to keep his memories.
"Then what can I do to make you see it," Tae was crying now, too. He knew how he felt, but putting it into words is really difficult.
"I don't know, Tae," Jung Kook shook his head, "I don't know."
"Is what I'm doing not enough?," Tae started to question himself now.
"No," Kookie launched forward and hugged him, "It's not your fault. Nothing is your fault. It's my...stupid insecurities getting in the way."
Tae put his arms around the younger as tight as he could, "I love you...okay? And there's nothing Yoon Gi can do to fix what he did, so stop worrying over it."
"Okay," Jung lightly smiled to himself.
"Now get some sleep," the older boy sniffed, "I guess we're still going to school tomorrow."
"No we aren't," Jung sniffed and wiped his eyes as he pulled back, "I decided not to go half an hour ago."
Tae smiled at him and laid down with him, "That's why I love you Kookie."
"What do you mean?"
"You're insanely imperfect, but it's just your character, so you make it perfect. I love that."
"Well, you get a ten because you're weird, but it's the good kind of weird. The kind where...it's funny so people fall in love with you."
"I don't want people to love me," Tae shook his head and grabbed Kookie's hand, "I want you to."
"I do," Jung smiled, "believe me when I say it."
