Axle's POV
Petra hasn't come back since yesterday, and I feel like thats our fault.
"I hope she's okay." I mutter.
Jess walks into the main room, looking half asleep.
"So hey guys. What's up for today?" He asks, almost sounding like he used to.
Olivia comes up from the ladder.
"Nothing actually. No problems today." She answers, making both Jess and I relax.
Olivia stares at us like we did something wrong.
"What?" I ask, making her scoff.
"We need to find Petra. We made a mistake last night in not helping. We need to find her and that girl." She declares.
Jess and I lazily get up still half asleep.
We follow Olivia out the trapdoor and out into the forest.
Its quiet as we walk, none of us really saying anything.
"Oh come on! You're telling me you guys went to the farlands!" And odd voice asks, sounding happy.
Petra's laugh fills the air and we walk forward, peeking over from behind trees.
Petra and the other girl sit in the field, looking like they are having fun.
Petra never really looked the way she does right now.
Happy, full of energy, and not like she is hiding everything.
"I was so weird when I lost my memory that I actually said that getting through a maze was A-MAZE-ING!" She says, making both if them laugh.
"I can't believe you of all people would say that!" The girl laughs.
Its definetly the girl from last night, but Jess seems even more bothered by her now.
We walk out of the bushes and Petra stands up, going back to the tough Petra.
"Hey guys. What's up?" She asks, pretending that nothing just happened.
The girl rolls her eyes at her and stands up.
She wears light blue jean overalls with a red T-shirt underneath.
A small golden clip keeps her sidebangs out of her eyes.
"Petra, we're sorry. We should have helped you and...." Olivia trails off, looking over at the girl.
She smiles lightly.
"Jesse." She says, making Jess look even more disturbed.
Petra nods to us, her eyes showing just how thankful she is.
Jess walks up to the girl, looking her over obviously.
"Umm.... Hi to you too?" She says, taking a large step back.
He raises an eyebrow to her.
"Have we met?" He asks her, making her frown.
"Don't think so." She says, making Petra look a little off.
Suspicious and Petra never mixed well.
"Jess, relax. She's new in town and she fell into the river last night." Petra covers.
We all look from Jess to Jesse, and I find myself pointing out similarities in how they look.
They both have bright emerald green eyes.
