Forever And Always | Finnick And Annie Love Story

A promise

A: You're leaving me?!?!
Finnick had explained to me that him, Boggs, Cressida, and a few other people were going to help Katniss get to the Capitol and kill Snow. Although I loved the plan, especially the killing part, Finnick, Katniss, and the other rebels were key targets for the Capitol to kill. I couldn't have Finnick go especially with all of those pods out to get him.
F: It's only for a few days.
A: You could die!!!!!
F: Annie, I'm strong, I'll make it. You survived the Capitol, so can I.
A: I was in the tributes center, being whipped. You're going into a war zone where Snow is out to kill you!!!
F: Annie. I don't want to go, but I have to protect Katniss, it's my duty, it's been my mission since the day she was reaped for the 3rd Quarter Quell.
A: That mission ended when she got out of that arena, alive. It's not your duty to protect her anymore.
F: Annie, Coin's making me do it, I have no choice. She said I was a strong soldier and that once I was healed, I had to fight.
A: *tears up* What if you die?
I sat down as tears began to fall down my face. Finnick kneeled down in front of me and wiped a tear off of my cheek.
F: I promise you Annie, I will come back, alive.
I wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrapped his hands around my waist. We rested our foreheads together and it was silent for a minute.
A: I love you.
F: I love you too.
