Reunited with allies

Annie's POV
Me and Finnick walked into the cafeteria, hand in hand. He never seemed to let me go, or I never let him go, but we lost each other once, we are definitely not loosing each other again. We took our seats next to Gale and Prim.
G: Hello lovebirds.
F: *laughs* Hi Gale.
A: So how's Katniss?
Prim: Peeta did some pretty bad damage to her neck, but she's ok.
A: That wasn't Peeta, the Capitol made him into a weapon to kill Katniss.
Prim: I tried talking to him, but he just freaked out on me and I was forced to leave.
A: *grabs Prim's hand* We'll get him back to normal, don't worry.
Prim: *smiles*
F: Has Katniss' neck healed at all?
G: Ya, she's finally starting to talk again.
F: Good.
A: Maybe I could try talking to Peeta. We went through things in the Capitol that I can remind him of, maybe that could help.
G: It's worth a shot.
F: As long as her protection is guaranteed.
Prim: They have him tied down. She'll be fine.

I went into a small white room. It sort of reminded me of the room I was locked in for three days, without any food or water. It was different though, it didn't smell like blood and sweat. I looked around and there was Peeta, skinny and dirty. He looked so depressed, mad, it wasn't him, it was a mutt. I slowly walked over to him and started the conversation.
A: Peeta?
He slowly looked at me with an angry face, but it suddenly turned to sad.
P: An...Annie.
A: You remember me?
P: I tried to save you, I warned you. *cries* I'm so sorry.
I could see how broken he was. How torn he was, trying to separate reality from what the Capitol put in his mind.
A: You did save me. You saved all of district 13. Thank you.
P: I saved Katniss, I should have let her die.
A: No, Peeta, you don't mean that.
His face suddenly turned into a panic. He started to rustle out of his bed and try to break free from what was holding him down.
P: She sent you in here, didn't she?
A: I came here on my own.
P: Annie, she's evil, you need to kill her, she's a monster! Kill her! Kill her, Annie!
I started to back away as he frantically rocked back and forth, trying to break free. I felt and hand on my arm, I turned around, it was Boggs. He pulled me out of the room and Finnick pulled me into a hug.
F: Are you ok?
A: That wasn't him, what has the Capitol done to him?
F: Did he hurt you?
A: No, I'm fine, but what's going to happen to him?
F: We're gonna do everything in our power to fix him. I won't let him stay like this.

After talking to Peeta, I needed to see how Katniss was.
A: Katniss?
K: *smiles and waves*
A: How are you? *sits on bed*
K: B...better.
A: I know you can't speak very well, but I just wanted to talk.
K: *nods*
A: I talked to Peeta.
Her eyes widened at the sound of his name. She started to look at me up and down to make sure I was ok. I just put my hand on her shoulder and calmed her down.
A: I'm fine, Katniss, don't worry.
K: *smiles* How's Finnick?
A: Better.
K: You make him better.
A: *smiles* It's nice to know he missed me.
K: Missed you doesn't even begin to describe it. He could barely stay sane without you.
A: *laughs* It was the same for me. I could barely breathe.
K: *looks down*
A: You really do love him, Peeta.
K: *sighs*
A: I'm not saying in what way maybe you don't even know yourself, but anyone with eyes can see it.
K: I just want him to be the way he was before. I'm gonna kill Snow for what he did to him.
A: We all want Snow dead, Katniss, but we all know you want him dead most.
K: I...i'm sorry.
A: For what?
K: I was never nice to you or Finnick, in the games. I think I was just jealous of how in love you guys were.
A: All is forgiven Katniss.
K: If it's not too much to ask, can we try to be friends?
A: I thought we already were. *laughs*

Later that night, both me and Finnick were in bed, cuddling and cherishing every moment. He suddenly let go of me and pulled a box out of his pocket.
A: Finnick?
F: I've had this for so long......I've just been afraid to ask.
A: What do you mean Finnick?
F: Annie, from the moment we shared our first kiss, I knew, I knew that you were the love of my life and that I'd give anything to spend the rest of my life with you.
A: *smiles*
F: This ring *opens box* is a promise, that we will always love each other and that no matter what, we are always together.
The box revealed to have a wedding ring inside of it. It was absolutely beautiful, I love him so much.
F: Annie, will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?
A: *smiles* Yes! Yes! A million times yes!
