Finnick's POV
"You can torture us, bomb us, and burn our districts to the ground, but do you see that? Fire is catching and if we burn, you burn with us!"
All of 13 was here to see the new mocking jay video and boy, I was not disappointed. This rebellion is going to happen and we're gonna win it. After video ended, Coin and Katniss came to the microphone and started a speech.
C: I stand here, with the mocking jay, to say that our moment has arrived!
The video was going to be aired all over the district to inspire them to join the fight. Everyone clapped and Katniss went off the stage and next to me.
F: You don't like hearing a fight song with a funeral, huh?
She looked at me, emotionless. I could tell that she was still scarred from what she witnessed at 8, all of those innocent people being bombed by the Capitol. I tried to cheer her up in any way I could.
F: The more people on our side, the closer we are to Peeta and Annie.
K: *nods* Yeah.
It was going to take some time, but we were closer to getting them back. I would see Annie again and I would cherish every moment with her, I would practically worship her. I could never get her out of my head. How her eyes lit up when we stared at the ocean back in 4, not a care in the world. How her hair would flow perfectly underwater, almost mermaid like. She reminded me of a mermaid a little. Mysterious, sneaky, and quiet, but once you get to know her, sweet, caring, beautiful, and absolutely perfect, even with her flaws.
Annie's POV
It's been a 2 days already and I can barely breathe in without feeling as if I am going to die. I am tired, dirty, dehydrated, and hungry. I can barely move without feeling pain. Suddenly the door opened, revealing a peacekeeper.
A: What do you want?
Peace: Morning to you too.
A: Don't act innocent, you-
Peace: Do you have a death wish? If not, I suggest you keep your god damn mouth shut unless you want it shot closed. I would mind doing it. *grabs gun*
I let a tear fall down my eye as he started to press buttons and change things in the room. Everything became hotter and dryer. I was practically drinking my own sweat now. I was getting more and more dehydrated and I could barely handle it anymore. I just hope that something will save me soon.
Finnick's POV
I was in my room, tying my rope over and over, until I heard a familiar voice. It was Caesar from the Capitol, it was another interview. I ran to the nearest tv I could find, hoping to see Annie's face. No luck, it was Peeta, he looked terrible, as bad as Annie, from what I remember. I called out Katniss' name and she ran in with Gale. She put her stuff down, as they had just been hunting. She looked at him with tear filled eyes once she saw how skinny and bruised he was.
K: He's changed so much already, what are they doing to him?
I started to get really worried about Annie. What have they been doing to her? Was she even alive? We listened to the whole interview, he was speaking lies and he didn't look as if he was lying. He looked like he was in a trance to say it. Caesar asked him what he would say to Katniss, if she was watching, which she was.
P: I would tell her to think for herself.
Peeta looked directly at the camera, fear in his eyes. She looked as though she could break any moment.
P: Do t be a fool, Katniss. I know you never wanted the rebellion. The things that you did in the games were never intended to start all of this.
Peeta started to tear up, as did Katniss. He wasn't speaking like himself, he wants this rebellion too. He's being forced to say this, there is no way that he really thinks this.
P: The rebels have made you into something that you're not. Something that could destroy all of us. So if you have any power or any say in what they do or how they use you, please, please, urge them to stop this war before it's too late.
Katniss wiped a tear from her eye as the interview ended. Gale started to rant about how that wasn't the Peeta he knew and that he was being a coward.
K: Are you kidding me?
G: I would never do what he just did, not even with a gun to my head.
F: He's only doing what he can to survive. Just like Annie and Johanna.
K: He doesn't know what happened to 12.
G: How could he? It's not like the Capitol would ever show him.
F: So basically what you're saying is that we need to show him.
K: Exactly. *walks out*
