Forever And Always | Finnick And Annie Love Story

Lightning tree

We headed to the tree once dusk came. Suddenly the fallen tributes faces showed in the sky. We saw Cashmere, Gloss, Wiress, the female morphling, and a few others. We finally reached the tree and Beetee said a few smart words that I didn't understand and the told us to get started. He started to wrap wire around the tree. He then gave the rest of the wire to Katniss and Johanna and told them to bring it to the water.
P: I'm going with them as a guard.
B: No you're staying here to protect me.
P: No I need to go with her.
B: There are two careers out there, I need as many people to protect me and the tree as possible.
P: Finnick and Annie can protect you just fine.
K: Ya why can't Finnick, Annie, and Johanna stay here and me and Peeta take the coil?
B: You all agreed to keep me alive till midnight, correct?
J: It's his plan, we all agreed to it.
I knew now. It wasn't an act, it was real. Their love was true. I felt their pain of being separated. It would be like if I got separated from Finnick. I wouldn't be able to bear it.
F: Is there a problem here?
B: Excellent question.
K: No. There's no problem.
Katniss walked over to Peeta and kissed him.
K: See you at midnight.
P: *nods*
Johanna and Katniss left and Finnick, Peeta, and I started to keep watch of the careers. Then we heard a scream. Peeta seemed to recognize the scream and ran to it. Finnick ran in another direction to find Johanna. I ran after Peeta.
P: Katniss! Katniss!
A: Peeta stop! How do you even know it's her?
P: I've been through enough of her nightmares to know what her scream sounds like. That was Katniss. We need to find her.
We kept running. As we were running I saw a forcefield right in front of us. I was about to warn Peeta, but before I could say anything, he hit the forcefield and got flown back into me. I tried to move, but I hit my head on rock and then, everything went black.
Finnick's POV
I ran after Johanna and left Peeta and Annie. Wait, Annie's back there. I need to go back. I ran back to the tree and yelled for Annie, but all I saw was Katniss aiming her arrow at me. I had to think of something to make her trust me.
F: Katniss, remember who the real enemy is.
She put her bow down and looked at me confused, I knew why. Haymitch had said that to her the night before the games. I was aligned with Haymitch and Plutarch to keep Katniss alive, so that the rebellion could start. I didn't tell Annie about it because I didn't want her to worry. The lightning had started and Katniss grabbed the wire and tied it to an arrow. She aimed it at the lightning and was about to shoot. Holy shit, she was gonna break the arena. That lightning would kill her if she did that. I had to stop her.
F: Katniss get away from that tree!
She didn't listen. The lighting was getting closer.
F: Katniss get away from that tree!!! *runs to Katniss*
She shot the arrow up and it broke the arena. The lightning hit the tree and struck Katniss and me back. I was knocked unconscious. I woke up in a hover craft. I got up and saw Haymitch and Plutarch talking.
H: Morning.
F: Where am I?
P: Out of the arena. We're on our way to district 13.
F: Is Katniss alive?
H: Ya she's out there with Beetee.
F: And Annie? Where is she?
P: *sighs and looks down*
F: Plutarch, where is she?
Annie's POV
I woke up on a very uncomfortable observation table. I didn't know where I was, until I smelled roses. I'm in the Capitol.
Finnick's POV
H: Her tracker is still in her arm, we took yours out.
F: That wasn't my question. Where is Annie?
P: She's in the Capitol, so is Peeta and Johanna.
F: Oh my god! H...how? *tears up*
P: We don't know how. All we know is that she was captured.
F: *angry* You promised me you'd get her out alive. You lied!
H: She is alive. We never lied.
F: She's in the Capitol! Who knows if she's alive! *cries*
P: I'm sorry Finnick. *puts hand on Finnick's shoulder*
F: No you're not! You don't give a flying fuck about her! You would have gotten her too if you did!
H: We tried Finnick.
F: *cries* I never got to say goodbye and now I never will!
