Painful Truth

Finnick's POV
As I lay here with my bride to be, I think about all of the other people in my life that I love, Mags, I wonder where she is, I had no idea, since they couldn't track her. I had no idea why Annie wasn't bringing up Cliff and Eve. She couldn't have just forgotten about them.
F: Annie?
A: Mhm.
F: Where's Cliff and Eve?
Annie's POV
I had forgotten that Finnick didn't know about them...or Mags. I think it was time to tell him. I sighed and sat up as Finnick did the same. He looked at me confused as I held his hands.
A: Finnick, Cliff and Eve, they're dead.
Finnick's face went from confused to concerned. He squeezed my hands and pulled me into a hug. He stroked my tangled hair as a tear fell from my eye.
F: I'm really sorry Annie, I wish I could have done something to save them.
A: The peacekeepers, they killed Cliff right in front of me and Eve, I saw a video of her death. *tears up*
F: Shhhhh, it's ok. *kisses her forehead*
A: I'm ok Finnick, I mean, I'm really not, but there's more.
F: *nods*
A: The first day I was in the Capitol, I woke up hearing screaming. It was Mags. I went to look at what was going on and *sniffles* they were hit her with bats, she's *tear falls* she's dead.
My crying turned into sobbing as I saw Finnick completely freeze. A tear fell from his eyes as I continued.
A: I tried *breaths in sharply* I tried to save her. *cries*
Finnick's teary eyes turned into full on tears as he put his head in his hands. I grabbed his head and pulled it out of his hands. His eyes were all puffy and tears were falling down his face.
A: I'm so sorry. *cries*
He quickly wrapped his arms around my waist and sobbed into my chest. I stroked his hair as tears streamed down my face. Everyone we loved was gone, we only had each other now.
