CHAPTER TEN

Gerard's POV

Oh. My. God. Ray is in love with Alicia? That is a shocker. Wow. But now Alicia ran.... that's not a good sign. We have to find her soon, or Mikey will lose it. Alicia talks about how Mikey saved her from herself, but Alicia saved Mikey too. They need each other, and as much as everyone loves Ray, if he does anything else to ruin my baby brother's relationship, he will pay for it.

As Frank instructed Mikey as to where he would look, I watched Mikey's face intently. He looked like he was going to cry. I pushed Frank out of the way and gave Mikey a hug. I heard a small sob escape his lips as he tried not to cry. "It's okay Mikes, we'll find her" I told him. "I know" he whispered. "I just worried about what kind of condition she'll be in when we find her." Frank joined the hug.

After a moment, Frank cleared his throat and told us that we need to get a move on before it gets dark. We all split up according to Frank's plan. I say all because Frank got Jamia and LynZ to come help as well.

I just hope she's okay when we find her. Because if we don't, I can't see Mikey being alright.

Ray's POV

I watched Alicia running from the window. She ran into the small forest behind the hospital. I slipped out of my room and down to the ground floor. I could see Mikey talking to Frank, Gee, Jamia and LynZ. They were probably all getting ready to go look for Alicia. I didn't want them to see me, so I slipped out the side door and headed towards the forest.

I walked slowly, trying to give Alicia some time to think. It had started raining steadily and the clouds were getting darker. I picked up the pace a little. She shouldn't get sick just because I was stupid enough to let it out at the wrong moment.

I went a little further into the trees and I could hear soft sobs. I saw the back of Alicia's head; she was sitting on a rock. I approached her as quietly as possible and sat down beside her. She gazed up at me, shock filling her eyes. "I saw you from my hospital room window. The guys don't know I'm here. They were in the lobby forming some kind of plan to try and find you. They didn't see me leave." I paused for a minute, taking a breath. "I'm sorry Alicia. So so sorry. You and Mikey are so happy together and I had to interfere. It wasn't supposed to come out when it did. I was supposed tell you everything, not just the part that I'm in love with you." I watched her thinking for a few minutes. She nodded at me to continue. "Remember that date we went on before you and Mikey got together? And how nothing ever came of it? Well I have always liked you a little, but then I met Christa, and I pushed those feelings for you aside. After Christa left, I realized that I loved Christa, but I'm IN love with you. But by now, it's much too late for there to ever be something between us. I understand that. You and Mikey are perfect for each other. Your having a kid together for goodness sake! I should have taken it further when I had the chance, but I didn't and that is my fault. I loved being your best friend. It was amazing knowing that you trusted me enough to tell me everything. And I'm so sorry that I ruined that. I'll regret it every day, but just like you have always been honest with me, I needed to be honest with you. So I told you. You probably want to know about my arms" I turned over my arms to reveal the freshly healed wounds. The scars show Christa with a line through it on one arm and Alicia on the other. "I was confused. And being under the influence of drugs and alcohol probably played a big role as well. But honestly, I don't regret it for a moment. It shows that Christa is a thing of the past, feelings I no longer have. And it shows the only one who truly means something to me. The one I can never stop loving, no matter how hard I might try. I wanted to die that night, because I knew that there was no hope for us. But once again, you were there for me. You saved my life and all I can do is be a burden in yours. I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused you over the years Alicia. But I still don't regret a second of time spent with you, because it helped me be who I am today. You made me realize that it's okay to trust, and okay to fall in love. I wish that things could have been different, but I know that they can't. I love you, which is why I have to let you go. I wish you and Mikey all the best with the baby. And in the future. You guys will be amazing parents. Your kids will be lucky. So that's it. Tell the guys I'm sorry. They can find a new guitarist to replace me. You can find a new best friend. You'll be able to forget all of the problems that I've caused you and Mikey. Goodbye Alicia."

Tears slowly streamed down my face as I got up to leave. As I turned away, I felt a hand close around my wrist and pull me back. I spun around to say that I really needed to go now, but before I could open my mouth, forceful lips met mine. I opened my mouth in surprise, and Alicia took advantage by shoving her tongue into my mouth. My lips moved in sync with hers and my arms wrapped around her waist. After a moment she pulled away. Our first kiss was everything that I had imagined it would be and more.
