Ameenah
"Mama Nita can I go out tonight?" I asked poking my lips out.
"No you staying home, just like Symone and Toni-ann. You and that boy hanging out to much, hope y'all ain't doing anything y'all ain't got no business" she said giving me a look before she turned around and continued preparing dinner.
"Fine" I groaned and pulled out my cell texting Jesse. He wanted us to go to this fair that was in town.
"Your dad says he's been calling you, your phone seems to be working fine, why didn't you call him" she asked cutting up some vegetables to put in the pot.
"I've been busy, didn't get to return the call" I lied. I didn't feel like talking to my parents. I've been here for almost two months and they're just now trying to call.
"I know they ain't the best parents but be thankful for them, life's too short"
I let out a deep breath because she had a point but I didn't want to admit it. I left out the kitchen and went upstairs to my room and went to lay down. I decided to call Mikayla and see what she was doing.
"Biiitccchhh" she answered loud as hell in my ear. I pulled my phone away and laughed.
"Hey boo, whatchu doing?" I asked as I sat up and grabbed my laptop so I could see what assignments my teachers assigned.
"Waiting for James to pick me up how about you boo" she answered and I stopped typing and looked at me phone in my hand.
"James? Picking you up? You been acting up since I was gone"
"He ain't nothing special" she said.
"Last time I checked you couldn't stand him and would never give him a chance"
"He's taking me to get some sea food at this fancy restaurant, I ain't passing that shit up" she said making me laugh. I pulled the phone away from my ear when I heard the beeping signaling I had a call waiting. I rolled my eyes when I saw it was my dad.
"I'm gonna call you back girl, my dad is calling"
"Okay boo, James just text me so I'm going to call you when I get back"
"K love you"
"Love you babe" she said before hanging up, I finally clicked over.
"Ameenah, I sent you over there to get your shit together" he said calmly, I was thrown off by how he was talking. I didn't do anything wrong so I was wondering what was going on.
"Dad I've been going to school and I have a job interview at a bakery" I said confused.
"Why I hear you fucking around with some boy, don't make me come over there Ameenah. I didn't raise you to become a hoe" he yelled.
I didn't even answer, I was shocked my dad just talked to me.
"Did you hear me?! I will knock you on your ass if you cross me"
"I hear you dad" I said before hanging up and threw my phone . I didn't want to speak to him again after this.
Toni-Ann
I opened my window and let Marcus in, since my grandmother had us on lock down, I snuck him in. He tried to kiss my lip but I turned my head. I didn't want him touching me after what happened, I just wanted to talk to him face to face.
"What's wrong?" He asked looking at me. I felt like crying because I couldn't get it out of my head.
"You told her you loved her"
"She's my girlfriend, I'm cheating on her with you it's not the other way around" he said as if that made things any better.
"You said you didn't love her anymore, you said you wanted to be with me. You knew I was in that closet and you had sex with her" I said pushing him.
"I had to do something to get her off my back"
"Go buy her a fucking necklace, take her to the park, not have sex with her..it's either me or her, you can't have both"
"What are you saying Toni?" he sighed blowing out a huge breath. He was the one playing around and he was frustrated?
"Its either me or her, if you keep messing with her, I want nothing to do with you" I shrugged.
