Chapter 38: Changing Opinions

It was a week later, when we decided that it was the time for the ring shopping. Esme took us to the jewelry shop where her mother shopped from regularly. I initially refused to come to their ring shopping, why would I be needed for something so personal but Esme said that she needed my opinion because I had experience so I would be able to guide her. I objected saying that Mr. Valdez could help her but she was adamant and I had to agree and dragged Kai and Samarth with me.

I told the others to check on the reception preparations as the wedding decorations would be done straight 5 days before the wedding on the venue which was far away from the city. I knew the work would be hardly done as all of them were couples. Max and Angela were engaged, Karan and Neha had a thing for each other leaving Tina but she too had a boyfriend or maybe a fiancé. About the two guys who I brought with me, Kai had a crush on Samarth, obviously, Kai never confessed it but I could see it. It was so obvious from the way he stammered and blushed near Samarth so much. I didn't know about Samarth actually, he was close to Kai and he wasn't dating anyone since he joined us, which was 2 years back. I have a hunch that Samarth liked Kai and this was one of the reasons I brought them here, to spend time with each other.

The other reason was that I heard them talking about the incident at Jackson's studio and Samarth was angry. I didn't want to eavesdrop but I was coming out of their room after talking to Angela and Max and I heard shouting from the boy's room which was occupied by Karan, Kai, and Samarth and I knew that Karan, Neha, and Tina were down at the ballroom where I was going to join them which left Kai and Samarth alone in the room.

I heard Samarth shouting about how angry he was and he should have been there to knock some sense into the arrogant photographer rather than Adreyan who punched Jackson. Though Kai and Samarth were good friends I perfectly knew that it wasn't just friendship and if my teammate and my brother needed me then I would gladly play matchmaker for them.

Which lead us to the situation where we were now, the jewelry shop, deciding if we want a pair of wedding bands or separate rings.

"I think a pair is more romantic," I said voicing my thoughts.

"Si Senora, a pair es mucho mejor...better. Shall I show you the pairs?" The salesman said and Esme and Adreyan nodded.

He then showed us many pairs of rings, most of them were plain platinum bands.

"No, quiero algo en piedras," Adreyan said, asking for a studded pair wedding band.

"Cualquier señor especiales piedra?" The salesman asked for a specific stone and Adreyan and Esme looked at me for help.

"Sapphire...I mean Zafiro" I said and the salesman nodded and went to check for sapphire studded bands.

"Why Sapphire, Ariana?" Esme asked me.

"Sapphire in a wedding band means purity, faithfulness, and sincerity, Esme," I told her and she shared an amused look with Adreyan and I quirked up an eyebrow "Is there a problem?" I asked them.
