Chapter 24: Unsettling

2 years later

"Aru can you hurry up" Riya shouted from behind the door.

"I'll be right out" I called back. I looked myself one last time at the mirror before going out. Finally I was going to meet all my friends after a long time, I know it has only been 5 months but I was missing them like anything. I smoothed the skirt of my black dress and fixed my hair once again and picked up my clutch leaving my room.

Riya was sitting in the living room looking gorgeous in a little black dress which was a sleeveless one with a broad neckline and a bow belt in front, her dress was a bit explosive as it left her lower back bare but added sexiness to it as well, as soon as she saw me she stood up and we left the house. Riya got a car from the company she worked with so we used that instead of my Paris which was hardly used now. Either I traveled with Reyan when we went to college or Riya when she was home.

Everyone decided to meet at the club where the party was going to be held, although Riya graduated 2 years back she insisted going to the party and so did Nikhil. It was half an hour ride till we reached the club and I smiled as I saw my friends waiting for us outside the club.

We screamed and squealed like mad people as we met but who can blame us we were inseparable for 3 years and now we meet after 5 months!

Mehr and Rishabh went back to Jaipur to join their father's business, Ronit got a job in Mumbai and Anika shifted to Hyderabad with her parents, only me and my precious boyfriend of almost 2 years were left here with my adorable cousin and best friend/ soon to be brother-in-law.

Everyone looked good, Anika wore a midnight blue short dress with an illusion neckline; Mehr surprisingly was wearing a dress, a short one at that. Her dress was navy, a bit flared and had a cool cut out sleeveless pattern. The boys on the other hand looked good too, Rishabh wore his signature brown leather jacket with black jeans, Nikhil wore a grey t-shirt with a beige jacket and teal pants which were in fashion. Ronit looked really nice in his white t-shirt and blue pants paired with a grey jacket rather than his usual checked or dress shirts; I think jobs really did change us. Except for my boyfriend who was smiling at me a bright smile taking my breath away, he decided to match me wearing a black jacket on his white t-shirt and jeans. It was only Reyan who wanted to pursue further studies. He was currently studying for his exams and waited for results in some cases, I was so proud of him. I on the other hand was working with an international wedding planning firm, I wasn't sure about it until I gave the on- campus interview and was selected. Ruth Mac Alastair was one of the well know wedding planner and she was launching her brand in India and recruiting through colleges.

The crowd in the club was nice as it was one of the posh clubs in Bangalore, our batch decided to throw a pre-convocation party so we could meet before we can officially part ways day after yesterday. The evening went well as we all danced till our feet ached. We left the place a little after 10 so we could prepare for tomorrow, everyone's parents were going to come and mine were already going to be home with Riya's to see me graduating. Reyan told me that his parents would arrive later that night and he would really like if I meet them. Well he has met mine so it's fair I meet his.
