CHAPTER 20 - Happy Birthday Dr. Sage!
November 27, 2013
"Good morning handsome. Happy Birthday!" Camille said enthusiastically as she brings Jeff breakfast in bed. Jeff rubs his eyes and smiles at the sight of Camille carrying a tray of eggs, bacon, French toast and orange juice. "Thank you, Cam." He said and they kiss.
Camille sings a sexy rendition of happy birthday to Jeff and he's just over the moon. When she ended, "Make a wish." She said and brought the cupcake with a candle then Jeff looks at her, smitten. "I already got my wish." He said and then blew the candle and kissed her again. Then he eats the breakfast.
After eating Jeff stands up and slid his arms around Camille's waist. "Were you on your way to Columbia?" He asked while in an embrace. "As a matter of fact, I'm late and so are you." She said. "Oh I'm not going to class today, I have surgery at eleven to three." He said with a pout. "Hmmm so you get out at three?" She asked. "Yeah, Feder let me off early today because it's my birthday so it's good." He answered. "So what're you gonna do after?" She asked. He smiled, "Why?" He asked. Camille unbuttoned her blouse a little showing her cleavage, "I have a surprise for you." She said. Jeff laughs, "Uhm, I'll be home at seven. But I have plans with my mom to go shopping today." He said. "Shopping, huh?" She asked. He smiled, "Yes." He said without another word.
Then she looked at the time and buttoned her shirt again, "I gotta go. I'll see you at seven." She said and kissed him before she left. Jeff brought down the breakfast tray and washed it. Then he turned on his TV and read the newspaper.
"Manhattan's Golden Boy, Bradley Walker is spotted out and about in Milan partying it up with New York Times' favorite gossip columnist, Alexia Berlanti two days ago..." The news reported.
Jeff laughed and drank his coffee. Then his phone ringed, "Hello?" He asked. "Happy Birthday man!" Chase said. "Thanks Chase, what're you up to today?" Jeff asked. "Go to work and piss Allie off by eating her Turkey leftovers from Thanksgiving." Chase replied. "You spent Thanksgiving with her?" Jeff teased. "What?! No! She was with her relatives and there happened to be leftovers." Chase defended himself. "Mmmhhhmmm okay." Jeff said. "Whatever, man!" Chase said and dropped the call.
Then his phone rang again, "Hello?" Jeff answered. "Happy Birthday Jeff!" Bradley yelled into the phone. "Wow. Thanks, man!" Jeff replied. "So I heard you were globe trotting with Alexia. So it is getting serious?" He asked. Bradley laughs, "Yes it's sort of getting serious and yes we've been traveling around the world." He replied. "So what's that about?" Jeff asked. "Nothing, we just wanted to go sightseeing." Bradley answered.
"Anyways, I won't be at your birthday party tonight because we're currently yachting in the French Riviera so I wish you all the best tonight, Jeff! I love ya bro, happy 24th birthday!" He said and then dropped the call. "Birthday party?" Jeff asked himself. "So there's a surprise party for me tonight?" He asked himself again and ended up smiling all about it.
After taking a shower and freshening up, he fed Crania and left the house at ten and went to the hospital. When he got there, he went to surgery right away. After surgery, Ronald brought him to the canteen where everyone they know greeted and sang to him a happy birthday. And after saying thanks, he went to go meet up with his mom...
...at Tiffany & Co.
"Why'd you wanna meet up with me here? Are you gonna buy me some jewelry? Oh and happy birthday sweetie." Jennifer said and hugged Jeff. "Thanks mom." He replied and they go inside. "No I wanted to ask you something." He said. Then they reached one stall and then the sales clerk got a navy blue box for him and he smiles. "Jeff what did you wanna ask me?!" She said now getting annoyed.
