CHAPTER 26 - The Perfect Date

"Ooooh you look nice, hot date?" Chase asked as he sees Jeff all dressed up. "As a matter of fact, I am going on a date." Jeff replied proudly and fixed his tie. "Where are you taking her?" Chase asked. "Broadway." Jeff replied. "What show are you watching?" Chase asked. "Lion King." Jeff answered.

Chase nodded and went back to watching TV while sitting on the couch. "What about you? You got any plans tonight?" Jeff asked. "There's this girl, Valerie and I'm gonna show her around New York later." Chase said. "It's nice that you're putting yourself out there, Chase." Jeff said and Chase just laughs. "Anyways, wish me luck tonight, man." He added then got the keys. "Good luck Jeff! Hope you have an amazing date." Chase replied then Jeff went to go pick up Mia.

Jeff hurriedly gets in his car, picks up some flowers and drives to Mia's place. He got her Mia's favorite flowers, red tulips.

As he arrives, he parks his car on the driveway, grabbed the flowers and walked to her doorstep. He rang the doorbell and waited for a couple of minutes until she emerges kissing Jeff's cheek.

"You're early." She said still trying to put on her earrings. "I was excited to see you." He said. "By the way I brought flowers." He added. Jeff gives Mia the flowers and put it in a vase before disappearing to her room to finish getting ready.

Jeff sat down her living room and decided to do some emails on his phone. "Okay I'm ready." She said. Jeff looks at her and smiles, "You look beautiful." He said and stood up to hug her. "Now lets go." He said and he holds her hand marches outside. She locks the door and joins Jeff in his car.

"Where are we going anyways?" She asked. He laughs, "It's a surprise." He said. "C'mon tell me." She begged. Jeff just smiled at her, "Just wait and see, Mia." He said. "Today I put a lot of thought on our date and Really planned it seriously. I hope it'll all go well." He added. "You are just full of surprises, Jeff." She said with a smile.

As they drove through the city, they then found themselves parked outside of the Minskoff Theater which meant that this was where the Lion King broadway show was playing.

Mia's eyes widen, "Oh my god!" She said. Jeff smiled and got out of his car and opened the other car door and assisted Mia out. People were looking at them as the theater were surrounded by security guards.

"What in the world is going on, Jeff?" Mia asked. "Why are there security guards? And everyone is just looking and taking pictures, what is going on?!" She added.

Jeff held both her hands and looked her in the eye, "I remember that time in Rome when we talked about broadway and you told me you haven't seen one before." He said and she nods. "Well, we're here at the theater to watch one of my favorite broadway shows of all time." He continued.

She was smiling from ear to ear, "Let me guess, Lion King is your favorite?" She asked. He laughed, "Yeah it is." He said with such a cute smile. Then he kisses her on the cheek and then they both go inside.

They sit in the center of the theater with a perfect view of the stage. "Uhm, Jeff why are we the only ones here?" She asked. "I want your first broadway experience to be the best with no distractions and interruptions so I rented out the whole theater." He said softly and put an arm around her. "So it's just you and me watching Lion King right now?!" She asked surprisingly.

"You and Me." He replied. "I forgot how much of a sweetheart you are." She said and then they kiss then the show starts.

After seeing the show they meet the cast, the director, the writers, basically everyone who worked on the broadway show. They got a few pictures with them and talked to them and congratulated them on such an amazing performance.
