CHAPTER 21 - Bridezilla

So a few weeks after the incident at Jeff's birthday, he and Camille decided that it was time for them to plan their wedding. It was a bit difficult for Jeff at this time because he was no longer speaking to his family and that really took a toll on him.

Today, they were meeting with the wedding planner that Camille hired. Gina Sanders was the best wedding planner in all of New York at this time. She catered to celebrities and socialites and was famous for delivering such great results.

"So lets start with your entourage. The made of honor and three bridesmaids and for the groom, his best man and his three groomsmen." Gina said. "Let's start with you, Camille." She continued. "My best friend Alex will be my made of honor, my two best friends Natalie and McKayla and my cousin Katrina." Camille answered. Then they look at Jeff, "Uhm, not sure yet." He said plainly. "Oh okay, when your sure email me." Gina said.

"Moving on, how many guests will be attending this beautiful ceremony?" Gina asked. Jeff got nervous and started to sweat, "It's just gonna be intimate, I was thinking around 150?" Camille said. Jeff's jaw dropped, "150? Who are we inviting? The whole Columbia staff and administration, the hospital nurses and doctors?" Jeff snapped. "No Jeff. The media would want to cover this. People and Vogue have already contacted me and I feel like there would be more." Camille answered.

"Why do we need to invite the press?! It's our wedding, sweetheart." He said strained. "Jeff, we're already featured on page six of course the press would want to cover it." Camille replied. Jeff shook his head and rubbed his temples. Then he just kept his mouth shut and kept a poker face.

Then they discussed plate settings,"Jeff, honey, what do you think about this plate setting?" Camille asked as he stared blankly to the wall. "Huh?" Jeff snapped. "Do you think white with gold linings is a good match?" She asked. "Anything you want." He answered. "Excuse me." He said and then went to his zen garden.

As he plays watches Crania, then Camille hugged him from back. "Are you okay?" She asked. "It was just getting a little stuffy inside." He said. Then Camille walks in front of him and faces him, "Can we go back inside? Gina's only gonna be here til one in the afternoon." She said. Jeff couldn't do anything about it so he gave in and went back inside.

While Camille and Gina the wedding planner discuss color for the tablecloths and what kind of flower to use for the flower arrangements, Jeff found himself appalled to these things.

"Brilliant! A Valentines Day wedding, how perfect!" Gina exclaimed. "I want the color scheme for the bridesmaids dresses to be light yellow in silk so it matches the white and gold theme." Camille said. "Yes! Very classy. Now for the flowers; there are hydrangeas, white roses, tulips, lilies... What's your favorite flower dear?" Gina asked. "White roses sounds lovely." Camille answered.

As Jeff looked at the magazines and booklets that were laid out in the coffee table, he was beginning to get nervous.

"Oh my god, honey, we should have swans!" Camille said excitedly. Thoughts like; "how much would it cost?", "do we really need swans?", "do we really need to spend so much on the plate setting and flower arrangements?" Came into Jeff's head.

"Don't you think swans are a bit too much?" He asked. "It romanticizes the whole wedding." Gina said. "Jeff, it would be nice..." Camille added. Jeff rolled his eyes, "Excuse me, I'm just gonna go drink water." He said and then went to the kitchen.

When he drank the glass of water he listened in on Camille and Gina's conversation. "Gina, he's gonna thank me for this but yes get four swans." Camille said. "Excellent!" Gina said. "Moving on, so the boathouse in Central Park has already told me that they will be happy to accommodate your wedding and reception." Gina added. "Yes! Oh thank god! I thought we would never get it." Camille said.
