My heart needs you...

You are not here,
But still here somewhere
The sun still shines the same,
Night and day still play the same game.
But I yearn for you,
If some magic I could do,
I would bring you back in my arms,
Because it is just you in whose presence my heart calms.

My heart needs you...

The sun shining outside,
Cannot wipe the darkness inside.
For in the sky of my heart,
You were the most important part.
You were the brightest star,
Which is now very,very far.
The moon still shines the very bright,
For without you its always night.
But it does not feel so special anymore,
In bits and pieces my heart you tore.

My heart needs you..
Because I love you...

My joy knew no bounds as I craddled the little kitten in my arms. I stared at the little bundle in my arms as the lift transported us to the bottom. The thing I held in my arms looked like the epitome of cuteness. The kitten slept peacefully in her basket unknown about the fact that she had got a new owner.

I seriously needed to think of a name to give it. I could not call her kitten forever because one day she will grow into a cat. But I wanted a meaningful name and right now I could not think of any.

Thr doors of the lift opened and I walked out. Wind blew past me and the sky was painted grey as I stood on the threshold of the building. I hugged the basket closer to my chest as the wind grew wild. I stepped out in search of a cab. Water droplets fell on me and I looked up towards the sky in search of the culprit. Few more water droplets fell on my face. I closed my eyes to feel their impact. The effect was so soothing and relaxibg that a shiver passed through me.
A sudden thought crossed my mind and I opened my eyes. Still looking at the sky I whispered to myself Ame.

Yes. This is it.  Ame.  In japanese Ame means Rain. Today is the first rain of the season and today by coincidence I got my little kitten. I felt like the skies were giving me the suggestion and I obeyed them. I decided then and there that my kitten will be called Ame. Ame - the rain. The rain of happiness and love which has drowned me completely since the moment I set my eyes on her.

I looked at the bundle in my arms and whispered to the sleeping ball of fur Ame.

I kicked open the door of my room because my hands were already full. I sat the basket on the bed and ran to grab a warm blanket. The weather was changing and soon it will be winters. Winters could be harmful for the new born's health.

Ame was still asleep so I decided that I would better prepare some warm milk for her. I opened the bag Jenny had given me. It had a bottle of milk and a few little blankets to fit in the basket.

I took out the bottle of milk and walked to the kitchen. I boiled some milk and poured it in the bottle for Ame.

When I reached back to my room I could hear the slight purring sound and I knew that Ame was finally awake. It was time to introduce her to her new world.

I walked to my bed and peeped inside the basket. I was greeted by a pair of blue eyes staring back at me. She looked so lovely. Love was literally oozing out of me. She was such a cute little thing. A smile formed on my lips.

I took the bottle of milk and looked at it in confusion. I have never dealt with babies so I knew nothing about it. I wondered what I needed to do in order to make her drink milk. I pondered on what should I do. What if I place the nipple in her mouth? Will she be able to drink it then?

I decided to try it. I placed the bottle to Ame's mouth and she naturally began sucking it. The feeling was so heart warming. Ame looked so cute while she sucked on the nipple.

I looked at her lovely face as she drank the milk. She was like a real baby. She was just 2 weeks old. Soon she would grow in a big beautiful cat.

After she drank the milk I placed the bottle aside and lifted her from the basket. She felt so fragile and small in my arms. Her body curled in a ball as I craddled her in my arms. I sat on the bed cross legged and  placed her on my shoulder. She nuzzled closer to the hollow of my neck. I felt a ticklish feeling as she continued rubbing her body against my neck. I raised my hand to pet her and to my amazement she responded my purring near my ears. I was mesemerized by her so much.
The tickling grew wild and I began giggling. My giggling must have been loud because it brought mom to my room.

The door of my room opened with a click and I turned to look at the door in confusement since no one was home.

"Honey I brought you doughnuts. I got a half day today". She announced as she stepped inside.

I paralyzed in the moment. I hadn't told her anything about the kitten yet and I was not sure how would she react. She came and stood in front of me.

The expression on her face was the one I got to see in a millenia. She was utterly shocked at the sight of little Ame. My eyes widened in worry.

"Is it a cat?" She screamed.

Her scream was hideous and it scared little Ame so much that she began crawling more inside the hollow of my neck. Her soft fur tickled my bare skin. She began crawling towards the back of my neck and the tickling grew wild.

I burst into giggles. The impact sent my body in a shaking mode. This scared the little kitten more and she began crawling under my shirt. Her little paws sent waves of tickles and I began laughing boisterously. Ame crawled deep inside my shirt and finally fell out from the bottom of my shirt. But my giggling grew crazy and I laughed like a clown.

Mom was horrified at the sight. She stood in front of me with her mouth wide open in shock. Her eyes were just about to pop out from their sockets.

Her expression was utter shock looked so funny to me that instead of calming down I began laughing more hysterically. No matter how much I wanted to calm down I couldn't. I laughed untill tears began streaming down my eyes. My stomach ached from all the laughing and my cheek muscles seemed to be permanently stretched in that goofy grin.

Finally I stopped laughing and I swear mom's expression were q sight to behold.

"Are you alright?" She finally managed to say.

It took all I had in me to ptevent myself from bursting into giggles again.

"was that a kitten? You never had the habit to pet strays? What is going on?" She fired questions at me.

"Chillax mom. It is a kitten. Oh! My god. Where is she gone?" I panicked when I could not find Ame.

I stood up and began pulling sheets from the bed.

"From where did you got it?" She asked in confusion.

I pulled the blanket. "Jenny gave it to me as a gift". I replied as I picked up the pillow. "Here she is. You naughty!" I said as I  picked her up again in my arms. She was hiding under the pillow. Silly cat. "My baby is so naughty" I cooed her.

"Mom you scared her". I told mom. She looked at me like I was insane.

"Why did she gave you a kitten? Never mind it was good to see you laugh again". She finally said.

I realized that it was after a month that I laughed like this.

"All credits goes to Ame". I said with adoration in my voice. "Mom her name is Ame".

"Nice name and she is lovely". She said as she placed her palm on my cheek lovingly.

I smiled at her and hugged Ame closer to my chest.

"I brought you something to eat. Enjoy with this lovely thing".she said as she placed the paper bag on the bedside table and began walking towards the door.

"Keep laughing like this always". She said with a smile as she closed the door behind her.

I looked at the little bundle in my arms. She was asleep again. The sudden events must have tired her. I gently placed her in her basket again and wrapped the blanket around her. She was such a baby!
